Awesome! Run them through validators regularly in development, test in multiple browsers...etc. All are good habits to get into for your field.

For your personal website, I'd suggest a testimonials section. Get some quotes from people you've worked with or done work for complimenting you on it. A services section that goes into detail on just what services you offer would be good too.
