That is true.  I really loved ActRaiser.  That game shouldn't have worked but it was actually fun as hell.

I was the only one who voted Dragon Quest 4, I’ll put my runner up as Final Fantasy Legend 2 (SaGa 2) which re-released for Switch about 2 years ago and (unlike FF Legend 1) I still like quite a lot… but like any SaGa game, I don’t recommend it unless you’re into SaGa games.

It really was.  I remember thinking before I played it that I wished they had left out the sim part and it ended up making the game truly special.  The sequel was terribly disappointing imo.
