- Fairgame$ is now Fairgames
- Jade Raymond has left Haven, a few weeks after an external review.

Kill it.

I think Sony is going to pull the plug on Haven soon. A founder departing a brand new studio is never a good sign.
| firebush03 said: what a shame that sony refuses to disclose Astro’s sales figures. :( For all we know, the bot hit 8mil…or 2mil. It was off to a really strong start with 1.5mil in its first few months. Alinea projects figures of around 2.3mil as of March 2025. |
They don't disclose much of anything nowadays. Almost Microsoft levels of boring.
The Insomniac leak was godsend for information geeks! Without it, we would have never known that GT Sport sold over 13 million and Bloodborne over 7.6 million. Not to mention digital ratios, regional splits, and the average selling price per game.
For now, the best way to estimate AstroBot's sales is to extrapolate from Sonic X Shadow Generations' updates. But this might not work either because AstroBot seemed to outleg it and has been bundled since March 13.

Title update is way better lol

Really depends what role Raymond played. She started EA Motive and was only there for 1 of their games. Schreier's reporting on this situation is incredibly light. Maybe she's decided she no longer needs to help the studio set up because the external review was fine.
"Some developers at Haven were concerned about how the game was received and its progress, said the people," is also a pretty meaningless comment and we should all know that by now. lower rank devs in a team are not going to be privy to a lot of stuff. Just remember when some devs at Bend thought they were going to be absorbed into Naughty Dog. It obviously wasn't going to happen, and we know it clearly didn't.
I'm not saying Haven is fine. But I don't think we have much to go on here tbqh. And lirc, Sony greenlit 3 games from Haven. If Fairgames doesn't work out, there's still the opportunity for them to move onto their other projects.
That AMA stream was........beyond rough. As someone said in a comment, "I've been to funerals that were more cheerful" lol. This is quite the hole Bungie has dug for themselves with Marathon. The plagiarism probably wouldn't have been taken so seriously if Marathon hadn't had such a lukewarm reception, at best, over its alpha release.
Bungie's name will certainly help the game take off in some way at launch, but, they gotta keep players there, and the game currently just doesn't have any substance to it that would keep players there. Combo that with Arc Raiders's alpha out at the same time, which the Extraction community has just been glazing over, and now this awful PR with this livestream being the utter dud that it was.....paints a pretty grim picture about Bungie's future. Sure Destiny 2 is still there, but, the game just had its Avengers: Endgame moment. It's no longer the studios primary focus and is now getting pretty standard support now. More content is nice, but you can tell it's not leading up to anything anymore now that previously took a decade to get to.

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind
Played Mission 4 on DMC5 SE last night.
Played V for the first time, at first I didnt like playing as him but....after a bit , dude is OP lol - managed to get SSS ranking through him.
Though I still prefer close combat with a sword with Nero/Dante , V is still fun to play though.

When done with the game. Play through again with Virgil. Don't worry, it goes by faster. Like DMC4SE. He breaks the game in hilarious ways. V is cool to play as, once you get the hang of it. Aside from Vergil because LOL. My fave to play as is Nero post-game.

Oh ya, I plan to play Vergil for sure - loved playing Vergil in both DMC3 SE and DMC4 SE lol.
