It's interesting to see that Sony will license their old Japan Studio IPs to Namco for Switch and PC ports but not on Xbox. They know there is nothing to gain from that move.

I think its clear that Sony wants to take all of Xbox's player base away lol.

It is lol. But they're underestimating Nintendo and PC's ability to steal players in the long run.

Very much this lol. This article was posted today. The most spoken language on Steam is now Mandarin Chinese thanks to huge Chinese-made games like Genshin Impact and most recently, Black Myth: Wukong

English is no longer the biggest language on Steam as Chinese gamers embrace PC gaming even harder after Black Myth: Wukong | GamesRadar+

Should be pretty interesting to see the numbers that Lost Soul Aside and Phantom Blade Zero put up on PC.

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

Here's my hot take about Sony putting their dormant IP's on Nintendo platforms:

It makes it easier for them to justify large publisher acquisitions like Square Enix and Bandai. There is a lot of multimedia value there already, they have treasure troves of IP's, but they need to remain multiplatform to make business sense.

But Sony is already stealing players and growing their console market share now lol.

40% of the 9.5M shipped PS5's in the last quarter were players new to the ecosystem. And from all accounts Sony is growing their console business in major markets like China and India at a faster pace than Nintendo at significantly higher prices.

Now that I think about it - would love Bandai Namco to take and publish Jeanne D' Arc

Loved it on the PSP and I bought it again for PS4 when they announced it part of the classics.

Wouldnt mind triple/quad dipping on that.

Sony has a large amount of games that I never played but am interested in modernized versions of. Jeanne d'Arc is one of them. Fingers crossed this will be a trend and they will be remastering/remaking many more.

My most wanted:

Dark Cloud 2, Rogue Galaxy, Jeanne d'Arc, Legend of Dragoon, Wild Arms collection, Alundra, Arc the Lad, Omega Boost.

I'm 100% for Switch versions, coz success is not guaranteed even with them releasing on every major platform. These won't be system sellers, so they may as well maximize their odds of success by accessing a larger playerbase.

I'm pretty sure Genshin Impact isn't available on Steam, but yeah the Chinese are about to dominate this industry as consumers and developers lol. And most of them have no interest in consoles, so the growth will mainly go to Steam and other PC platforms.

Wild Arms, Arc the Lad, Dark Cloud and Alundra for me - basically the jRPGs - oh and Legend of Dragoon too.

As for me - I want it on Steam personally.

So happy this is coming out to modern consoles! I reallyhope Digital Devil Saga is not far behind
