I wonder if this will develop into the US government threatening to ban Playstation. China is powerful enough to challenge the US and not be their little bitch, but Japan would probably yield too soon lol.

It won't develop into anything. The entire thing is ludicrous from a handful of moronic politicians that don't understand the games industry and just want an American based company to be more successful.

They're going to somehow ban Sony from making exclusive deals because Xbox isn't popular in Japan? I don't think so.

It wouldn't change Xbox fortunes in Japan anyway. They got FF last gen. It was their worst generation in Japan by far.

They're not going to ban them for the few exclusivity deals (most exclusives aren't "deal" based anyway), but they might threaten against a publisher acquisition by Sony. They're sort of giving them a warning here.

They succeeded in acquiring one massive developer/IP (Mojang/Minecraft) and two major publishers (ABK soon) without much trouble using the hardware marketshare excuse. So they'll be happy to spam the same excuse for as long as it works.

Regulator: "You already have more than twice the developers, higher software sales, and bigger IP's than Sony."

MS: "BuT looK aT tHe MarKEtSharE!!1!"

Regulator: "THIS MAKES SENSE! Naughty Sony..."

I just can't stop laughing/cringing at MS being rewarded for sheer incompetence.

Sorry to take an off-topic detour, but did someone respond to me and then delete/alter OG comment? I saw a reply notification in my VGChartz Buddy, but don't see anything new addressed to me here.

In the past it have happened to me that someone had made multiquote cross threads so when he replied in a single thread with a post from a different thread I got the blue tick but entering the thread that showed blue there was nothing to answer to.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

It would be fun to see MS banning PS on USA and all the repercussion that would have.

That is why some users like to say MS objective isn't selling most consoles =p

I hope Sony fires Iron Galaxy from porting their games to PC going forward lol. TLoU PC port is an absolute mess! Uncharted collection was...okay as a port, but still a lot of post-launch work was needed.

TLoU suffering from constant crashes and even taking an hour for many for precache shaders. I thought it was just review bombing, but loaded it once, crashed when going through options. I'm gonna go back to RE4 until Irony Galaxy fixes the game.

Damn shame. Coming off the stellar season of the show. Player numbers were going pretty high after a few hours, but bad word of mouth will cause player numbers to drop pretty quickly.

Sad to see.

Well that's disappointing, I would have assumed more quality assurance.

I was hoping Iron Galaxy would've been able to learn from their mistakes of the Uncharted collection port, but it went the complete opposite direction. Whenever I hear Iron Galaxy porting a game to PC, I automatically think of Arkham Knight. Things haven't changed too much it seems.

Nixxes and Jetpack Interactive definitely are the best Sony has so far. Although you immediately wonder if the game was rushed to make it out with the excitement after the shows finale.

Guess I'll stick to console.

At least ND is already addressing the issues.
