Bro. Now is not the time to talk about gun violence in America. Please stop talking about gun violence in America. Maybe it will be the time to talk about gun violence in America when it happens for the 20,000th time. For now we will Thoughts and Prayers Kirk. PLEASE STOP TALKING ABOUT GUN VIOLENCE IN AMERICA.

Nothing will ever change, because nothing will ever be done about guns, humanity is full with violent people, America likes to stick guns into their hands. We're crying over a podcaster/debater being shot dead more than the hundredth school shooting, and that's so we can turn it into a left-right debate, says it all really. Americans will continue shooting each other until the end of time.

But I bet even this Kirk rage will fade within about 1-2 weeks and America will move on, Lol. Until the next shooting.

Guns are a part of America as much as apple pie.  The US will never get rid of their guns and we will continue to see increase in gun violence because access to guns is as easy as walking to your corner store for beer.  Just the other day, I read a news article about a 13 year old kid who had a gun arsenal that would have made a military vet cry a tear of envy.  You are right, this will blow over just like all the other school shootings and deaths.  Most of those stories do not even make it to the front page anymore as its becoming as common as the mail man.

Than again as long as we have people like Iron who is willing to give us his false concerns about Kirk but hasn't shone an once for any other tragic event we can feel safe that guns in America will always be the main theme to solve issues.

Some Americans were more kitted out than some of the Ukrainian army at the start of the war. 💀

The question was: "was wondering if Charlie Kirk getting shot affects your position on campus carry? If gun control had been in play could the tragedy have been avoided?”

Last year, a kid brought a gun to my kid school and thank goodness he was dumb enough to show it around and got snitched on. That is just the dumb one that got caught.  After that, full body searches.  Bullet proof glass.  Reinforced steel doors.  The high school is now more secure than fort knox but that is the world we live in America.  While most people would love to believe these kids are from troubled homes, nope.  This kid was from a wealthy family, had no issues.  He was able to acquire a gun, wanted to show it off and was looking to sell it.  Now if he found the right kid who knows how that would go down.

Answering a question from a reporter, Utah DPS Commissioner Beau Mason says the suspect "appears to be of college age".

He says the suspect "blended in well with the college institution", adding: "We're not releasing many details right now. We will soon. But right now, we're not.

"But that individual appears to be of college age."

He says investigators this morning have recovered "what we believe to be the weapon that was used in yesterday's shooting" - a high-powered bolt-action rifle - in a wooded area where authorities believe the shooter fled.

They have also found and are analysing a "footwear impression, a paw print and a forearm imprint".

The shooter arrived on campus at 11:52 a.m. local time, Commissioner Beau Mason said. Investigators have tracked his movements as he went to a roof, went to the other side of the building, jumped off of the building and fled into a neighborhood, he said.

"We do have good video of this individual. We are not going to release that at this time," Beau said. "We're working through some technologies and some ways to identity this individual.

"If we are unsuccessful, we will reach out to you as the media and we will push that publicly to help us identify them. But we are confident in our abilities right now."

Lol, I said something looked off about yesterdays video, I wrote it off as AI in my mind, but it was something off about his face, but this video he does not look well at all, I wonder if yesterdays video was a live recording but with AI overlayed onto it so to mask whatever the hell is up with his face.

It looks like one side of his body is drooping a bit. Not a doctor but that is a symptom of either Bells Palsy or a stroke.

Watching that video it looks like the left side of his face has that dropping look as if he has experience some minor stroke or something.  I remember my brother came down with meningitis and his face looked just like Trump for a period of time.  Something is definitely going on with him.

“There are many things that happened in the 1990’s that could explain these,” he added. “One is the dependence on psychiatric drugs... there could be connections with video games and social media.” American politicians and anti-video game activists have attempted to paint video games as a cause for gun violence for decades, but experts have asserted there is no correlation between video games and mass shootings.

U.S. jobless claim applications jumped to their highest level in almost four years last week, the latest sign that the labor market is softening.

The number of Americans filing for unemployment benefits for the week ending Sept. 6 rose 27,000 to 263,000, the Labor Department reported Thursday. That's the most filings since the week of Oct. 23, 2021 and well above the 231,000 new applications economists forecast.

Inflation inched higher last month as Americans closed out the summer paying more for both groceries and gasoline.

Consumer prices in August were up 2.9% from a year ago, according to a report Thursday from the Labor Department. That's a sharper annual increase than the previous month, when inflation was clocked at 2.7%.

Prices rose 0.4% between July and August, compared to a 0.2% increase the previous month. Prices for groceries jumped 0.6% while gasoline prices rose 1.9%.

Consumers also saw higher prices for new and used cars, clothing and air fares in August. Stripping out volatile food and energy prices, "core" inflation was 3.1% for the last 12 months.
