Fucking Disgusting Pig.

That was very obviously intentional, he turned around and aimed directly at her and shot her, she was posing absolutely zero threat, she was doing nothing to warrant being shot at with a rubber bullet, that dude is just a power tripping bastard. Hope they sue the shit out of the law enforcement and this dude gets fired but it's America, he will be transferred to another division with a pay raise.

Something very rotten with America lately, they're very quickly becoming the next Hungary/Belarus. Local media is utterly useless at calling out the current administration, a mixture of fear and the fact that local media is owned by right-wing billionaires so they support Trump and meanwhile foreign media gets shot at for reporting on the reality.

This is what you get when the US outsources police training to Israel.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/dec/08/us-police-agencies-idf-files-blueleaks
https://therealnews.com/deadly-exchange-us-sends-hundreds-of-law-enforcement-to-israel-to-learn-worst-practices-from-idf

Through police exchange programs, local and federal officials travel to Israel for training that advocates say further militarizes the police and exacerbates harm to marginalized communities.

Thousands of law enforcement officials have traveled to Israel to learn new repression strategies and surveillance techniques from the Israel National Police, Israel Defense Forces, and the Shin Bet, who inflict violence, crowd control, and surveillance onto Palestinians. Anti-imperialist advocates say the tactics being taught to US law enforcement were battle-tested on Palestinians and spread to the US to target Black and Brown communities through a training relationship that grants Israeli forces more power and profit, causing further harm to Palestinians.

It's all connected and not a coincidence Trump is escalating the protests as much as possible.

And already going after Union leaders

https://abc7.com/amp/post/seiu-president-injured-detained-during-confrontation-dtla-amid-response-ice-raids/16682922/

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

—Martin Niemöller

Trump is going harder on US citizens for protesting than he has with Russia for attempted genocide.

Lincoln suspended habeas corpus twice during the Civil War, under the debated meaning of the Suspension Clause.

Also, the courts have been mixed as to what protections non-US persons have:

On the one hand, Yamataya v. Fisher (1903) extended protections to non-citizens including criminal aliens.

On the other, the US border service was able to proceed under the Patriot Act to seize phones, computers and other papers of foreign persons upon entry into the US.  This power is not allowed for US persons under the Fourth Amendment.

Given all that, I'd be careful claiming that somehow Donald Trump is acting out of turn given what his predecessors (going back 31 presidents...) have done.  Just ask those Americans that Obama drone-deleted!

CNN: We have breaking news now from the Pentagon. CNN can now report that roughly 500 Marines are being mobilized in response to the protests in Los Angeles.

The fucking marines now, the fascist is desperately looking for an excuse to escalate things, JFC.

for context here’s a map of greater Los Angeles and the protest is the roughly the red circle

Newsom: Trump completely lied. He said in a tweet everything is safe. Is that the case Mr. Trump? It’s his mess, we’re trying to clean up.

Newsom: This guy has 90 days, 90 beautiful deals. How many deals? Zero.. The UK? Give me a break.

Reporter: There’s a pretty good chance Trump might be watching

Newsom: I hope so, he might learn something— rescind this order— it’s illegal. You’re creating the conditions you claim you’re solving and you’re not

— Acyn (@acyn.bsky.social) 9 June 2025 at 03:53

Newsom: We talked for 20 minutes, this issue never came up. I kept trying to talk about LA, he wanted to talk about all these other issues. He never once brought up the national guard.

There’s no working with the President. There’s only working for him. I will never work for Trump

— Acyn (@acyn.bsky.social) 9 June 2025 at 04:45

Newsom: He needs to stand down. Donald Trump is inflaming these conditions. This is Donald. Trump's problem right now. And if he can’t solve it, we will.

Newsom responds to Homan statement on possibly arresting him: He's a tough guy. Why doesn't he do that? He knows where to find me. Lay your hands off four year old girls that are trying to get educated. Come and arrest me. Let’s just get it over with tough guy. I don’t give a damn

This Newsom is so much better than the Newsom who decided to fucking interview far-right transphobes.

Los Angeles would not have been obliterated.

California AG Rob Bonta says the state is suing the Trump admin over its deployment of National Guard troops to Los Angeles.

Q: What crimes has Gavin Newsom committed?

TRUMP: I think his primary crime is running for governor, because he's done such a bad job

Guy with 34 felonies can't list one crime the other guy has done.

Meanwhile the National Guard...

Sending the Marines to deal with protesters is absolutely unhinged and should be called out harshly by every US media (Lol). Have the US Marines ever been deployed against US Citizens mildly protesting? FFS. What a joke, I would be absolutely disgusted if I was a US Marine to be deployed on the people I'm meant to protect. Can only hope US Marines have more damn discipline and training than America's cops who decide everything that breaths near them needs a bullet. Will they be worse than the LAPD? Hopefully not.

What a joke, Trump is talking so much shit to try to escalate the situation, I've seen far, far, far, more violent protests from dozens of sports fans after their favourite team has lost than these LA protests which have by most accounts been mostly peaceful and non-violent. Oh 5 Waymo cars were burnt, that totally justifies sending in the goddamn army /s. How about the cops blasting people with rubber bullets for absolutely no reason or stomping over people with their horses? Or shooting people in the face with rubber bullets? I don't give a fuck about some Google vehicles over all that.

Trump is desperate for an excuse to escalate things.
