Ramthun ran for governor in 2022 and lost in the Republican primary, but embraced election conspiracy theories.
Janel Brandtjen lost to Dan Knodl, Tim Ramthun lost to Dan Feyen, Andrew Cegielski lost to Robin Vos, Jeff Pfannerstill lost to Barbara Dittrich, etc.

In almost every single primary, sane Republicans prevailed. That's good news for Wisconsin.
Summing-up MN & WI's results:
— Taniel (@Taniel) August 14, 2024
1. Wisconsin rejects 2 GOP measures meant to weaken governor's powers.
2. Ilhan Omar wins, virtually sure to return to Congress.
3. WI's GOP Speaker wins—but opponent drew 31% despite dropping out in June.
4. Some big election deniers lose in WI.
Wisconsin is another reminder that I don't think MAGA appreciates how tired the rest of us are having to deal with their continued mythologizing of 2020 as a stolen election. Voters are reacting pretty savagely.
