The Putin gaffe, 10 years ago, would have been a typical Biden gaffe that we'd laugh at. In the current climate, it feels like the final nail in the coffin. *I still laughed, Zelenskyy's response was funny, not what we need right now though, it's Joeover. Rollout Harris. Go into the sunset Biden, you saved America from Trump in 2020, go and rest with your family.

Time for Europe to arm itself to the teeth.

Edit - See, like here, the answers he's giving to the questions of this interview are good, the actual substance of them are fine, but he made a mistake, he called Donald Trump the VP instead of Harris and now nothing about what he actually said will be listened to and it will all be about that single gaffe, it's unfortunate but it's just what will happen now and continue to happen, he could give 20 answers with brilliant substance but a single slipup will be the focus.

That is the difference between Dems and GOP.  GOP will stick with their candidate through anything, and Dems are all over the place.  Biden is your candidate and if Dems are smart, they will put everything they can behind him just like GOP put everything behind Trump.  Trying to switch up to Harris now would not be the move and it only adds a lot of confusion and upheaval within the Dems ranks not to mention voters.  No one is voting for Either Trump or Biden based on their cognitive abilities, they are voting for either one based on what type of administration they want.  Neither candidate is worth putting in office but at least you know what type of administration you are going to get from either one.

I don't know anymore, if Democrats just shut the fuck up and accept Harris then it shouldn't cause upheaval in the Dem ranks but there's a lot of career politicians so I know they might moan about Harris which would be bad. I'm a bit concerned Biden has a strong old person support which I think would be lost if they switched to Harris.

But Biden's age is just blowing up every single time and distracting from actual Trump shit, this dumb motherfucker (Trump) just said he didn't even know what NATO was...Biden gave a very substantial piece about NATO/Europe but all the focus is on him accidentally saying Vice President Trump and calling Zelenskyy, Putin, Lol. Every single debate, speech, etc, will just be dominated by single Biden gaffes and take away all focus from the actual substance of comments or the insane shit Trump says on a daily basis.

To be frank I don't know what to do and it feels like no matter what, the only two viable options aren't great.

It's either Biden or Harris and both have their negatives and nobody seems to know which is a harder battle.

If Biden does step down, don't do it until after the RNC though, let them waste their time and energy blasting Biden.

The thing is, most voters do not watch debates, they have already made up their mind about who they want in office just based on who the other candidate they are running against.  There are no mysteries between Trump and Biden.  It would be different if either one were unknows, but everyone has had both in office for 4 years, so they know what they are getting.  Dems are always stupid in this situation because if they were smart, they would just promote what the administration has done and forget about the flubs from Biden because it's not like this is anything new.  He has been doing this his entire career in politics.

Biden age isn't giving any more advantage to Trump then Trump losing criminal cases are giving any more advantage to Biden.  The majority of America has already made up their minds so for the few undecided people still out there, you just need to put the message of which administration you want to see.

Genuinely don't know anymore, all I know is that it has to be Biden or Harris.

Feel awful for Americans who will suffer under Trump but if it comes to pass then Europe needs to focus on Europe. We're on the verge of being backstabbed by America, I hope Europe is ready for it.

I think if there was a candidate like 2008 Obama, they could win with a very strong push, despite the short lead time.

But I don't think anyone comes close to 2008 Obama.

Raiklin is seeking to enlist so-called “constitutional” sheriffs in rural, conservative counties across the country to detain Trump’s political enemies. Or, as he says, carry out “live-streamed swatting raids” against individuals on his “Deep State target list.”

“This is a deadly serious report,” Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) told Raw Story. “A retired U.S. military officer has drawn up a ‘Deep State target list’ of public officials he considers traitors, along with our family members and staff. His hit list is a vigilante death warrant for hundreds of Americans and a clear and present danger to the survival of American democracy and freedom."

The list Raiklin has been circulating since January is extensive.

It includes numerous Democratic and Republican elected officials; FBI and intelligence officials; members of the House Select January 6 Committee; U.S. Capitol Police officers and civilian employees; witnesses in Trump’s two impeachment trials and the Jan. 6 committee hearings; and journalists from publications ranging from CNN and the Washington Post to Reuters and Raw Story — all considered political enemies of Trump.

Julie Farnam, a former U.S. Capitol Police employee named on the list who, as assistant director of intelligence and interagency coordination, warned about the potential for violence in advance of the Jan. 6, 2021, attack, said she would not be intimidated by the list.

“Any hit list is designed to impart the silence and fear of those named on it,” Farnam told Raw Story. “But silence is victory for those who write such lists. Conversely, speaking the truth without fear will always be the undoing of those who seek to intimidate and spread hate in our world. I can never be silenced.”

In addition to Farnam, the list includes nine current or former U.S. Capitol Police employees. The agency declined to comment for this story.

Raw Story is not publishing the full list given the potential risk posed to people unaware that they’re on it.

One individual named on the list who spoke on condition of anonymity noted that Raiklin is associated with retired Lt. General Michael Flynn.

“And Trump himself has repeated on dozens of occasions calls for revenge, retribution and retaliation,” the person told Raw Story. “This is another example of that broader phenomenon of revenge against political enemies that animates the former president and his entire movement, and for that reason should concern us all.”

The Trump campaign did not respond to emails requesting comment for this story.

True, but it's the swing states that will decide the outcome. The race is close there where the #NeverBiden campaign can throw votes to a 3rd party (or simply not voting) which can lead to Trump winning.

Biden needs to appeal to younger voters and Muslim voters to get them to come out and vote, or Trump might win.

https://www.thenation.com/article/politics/muslim-voters-uk-us/

On July 4, while Americans were celebrating Independence Day, something remarkable was unfolding on the other side of the Atlantic. British Muslims, who make up about 6 percent of the total population, were coming out in numbers to defy the political current and vote against the party that was destined to form the government. It was a compelling subplot in a general election that was otherwise devoid of interest. The odds on a Labour victory had become so short at the bookmakers that gamblers had to wager £100 to win a pound back.

...

In an ironic twist, the most sensational results in the election were in the constituencies that Labour ended up losing. Last week, five pro-Palestinian independents, who were running in areas with significant Muslim populations, shook the political establishment by winning their seats. Of the five, only former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn had a national profile.

In the run-up to the general election, and for the first time in history, the Muslim community of the United Kingdom began to organize itself into a voting bloc that could challenge the status quo. Mosques, community centers, and civil society organizations joined hands to create a political movement that was committed to putting the Gaza crisis at the center of the election.

...

Given the often parochial nature of American politics, it’s unlikely that the shock waves from these results will have reverberated in the White House. But if American Muslims take comparable action to their British counterparts in November, President Joe Biden ought to be very concerned indeed. Of the million or so Muslims who turned out in the 2020 presidential election, approximately 80 percent chose to vote for President Biden. Today, the number supporting him has collapsed to around 5 percent, according to a survey released by Emgage, an organization that aims to boost political engagement in America’s Muslim communities.

Such a drop could prove catastrophic in states like Michigan and Pennsylvania where Biden’s majority is smaller than the total Muslim population. The success of the uncommitted movement has already proven that Muslim voters, as well as the anti-war left, are capable of organizing themselves into a bloc. More than 13 percent of those who voted in the Michigan Democratic Primary cast their ballots as “uncommitted.” That number was almost 19 percent in Minnesota, totaling around 46,000 voters, which was more than Hillary Clinton’s margin of victory there in 2016. In Arizona, a state that Biden carried by around 10,000 votes in 2020, almost 16,000 Democrats voted for Marianne Williamson after she called for a cease-fire.

Trump needs to be exposed at every twist and turn to prevent him taking the win

Perverse though it may seem, what might end up saving Biden is the virulence of Donald Trump. It seems doubtful that Muslim voters in the United States would be willing—whether through apathy or protest—to chart a course for an angry Islamophobe to regain the White House where he could resume the sort of policies that led them to flock to President Biden.

Remind people of Trump's 'Muslim ban' and his 'finish the job' support for Israel.
Better, Dems need to switch to Harris. She called for a ceasefire way ahead of Biden and is a firm supporter of a 2 state solution.

https://www.jpost.com/israel-hamas-war/article-787350

US Vice President Kamala Harris firmly called for a two-state solution as the answer to Israeli and Palestinian peace and security on the global stage Friday afternoon at the Munich Security Conference. [feb 16th]

Best would be for Biden to get off the pot and force Israel into a ceasefire. The longer he keeps sending more bombs to kill more children, the worse it will be for him at election time. Netanyahu has made his preference for Trump pretty clear and it wouldn't surprise me if all the current criticism of Biden's age and mistakes are encouraged by the Israeli lobby. It's not just Russian propaganda messing with the American elections this time and unfortunately both Netanyahu and Putin are advocating for Trump to come back in power.
