One Reddit user asked the studio if Xbox Game Pass has been an aid, earning a reply from game director and producer Vanessa Chia.

"With hindsight, I am happy to report that Game Pass has been 100% worth it for us. It allows us access to so many players for the Voxel Trilogy — Riverbond, Echo Generation and Ravenlok," Chia wrote. "As indie devs, visibility is always a struggle, and knowing that there is a low barrier of entry for players to get hands-on playing the game is solving a big challenge for us."

Reminds me of the BIGS. Miss that series. 

Worth noting that when Obsidian announced Outer Worlds 2 at the Xbox E3 show 2 years ago, they said in one of their post-show interviews that Outer Worlds 2 would release sooner than some might expect it would. Not sure I agree with the guy in the video that Outer Worlds 2 might release before Avowed, but it wouldn't surprise me if Outer Worlds 2 releases late 2024 after Avowed releases early 2024, maybe 6-8 months between them definitely seems possible to me. Outer Worlds 2 is afterall a smaller game than Avowed, presumably about the same size as the first Outer Worlds, while Avowed has been likened to Skyrim in terms of size, and Outer Worlds 2 has only been in development about 1 year less than Avowed has. The release gap between them could be alot smaller than some people were expecting. 

Would be crazy to get both Obsidian games completed in 2024... one can wish. If they could pull that off, ffs give them Fallout. They MS' most efficient studio. Like Insomniac and PS.
