Well, Redfall is going to get destroyed no matter what because it's a first party supposedly AAA game which when you look at it, it's not hitting that mark. It's going to make it very difficult for MS in the next months unless the rest of their games hit hard because if you are comparing between MS and Sony right now, its not even close. While I do not believe Sony games are that much better, what they do have is the visual fidelity that make gamers feel like they are paying for next gen. I have not played enough of Redfall to say if its fun and it could very well be a fun game but one thing about the gamming community, a game is either sugar or shit. Most gamers will not even give it a chance because of all the negativity out their so this is a big miss.

Starfield will have immense pressure to deliver, even more than it already did, but if the game at its core is a good, traditional Bethesda RPG, then most reviewers will look past the technical issues (if it has many) as they've done time and time again in the past, to do so otherwise now would make them look like hypocrites, Lol.
Some reviewers may have a mindset of "Xbox hasn't had a major AAA in years that has been a success" and maybe judge it more harshly as a result? Those would be bad reviewers though, Starfield should be judged on its own merits and how good it is, not be judged on Xbox's recent history of AAA releases.
If Starfield is a good game, it's a good game, it shouldn't matter at all when the last AAA that Xbox released was, it's an irrelevant metric to reviews.
Some GAMERS will absolutely be insufferable though, I may avoid Twitter around Starfield's launch, I'm sure every single minor bug will be amplified massively as a disaster and they'll be all "LoL wHaT aBoUt ReDfAlL?" but fuck those Twitter warriors. Thankfully, a large chunk (perhaps the majority?) of Bethesda's fanbase are PC users and those guys aren't going to get involved in the Console Wars nonsense unless Starfield runs badly on PC.
If it does run good then most ACTUAL Bethesda fans will just tell the Console Warriors to piss off while millions enjoy Starfield.

Going to avoid Twitter and ResetEra for the next few days.
Back to Dead Island 2 and Minecraft.
Happy for those still finding enjoyment in Redfall though. It's all opinions at the end of the day.
"Not E3" is around the corner. We'll see how Xbox's Holiday 23 stacks up and their future. September (Starfield), October (Forza), November (Hellblade) would be a killer line-up.
Starfield is the next major exclusive from Xbox...We're almost there...The Bethesda Game Studios RPG...All steam ahead to Starfield! 4 Months! It'll feel shorter because June will flyby.

I don't know about the E3... I would love to see some of those games (Avowed, Fable, the game from InXile) etc. But if they go with this 12 months thing; I think we will be disappointed :)
Forza/Starfield is enough for me + Diablo 4 this year anyway; but while I hope end of year will be amazing for Xbox; I am starting to lose hopes for this year.
I'm also afraid Starfield is going to eat it so badly in reviews; just cause of the saltyness (I like this word) about Microsoft in general; I don't think it will go below 80 but I doubt it will go above 90, just because the expectations are SO high that the single little thing will destroy it.

If they stick to 12 months (mistake Imo) then Fable won't be shown but Avowed still should be. Whatever else is unknown as well, I hope for a surprise this year (something unannounced). I still have hope, God Howard will deliver! Forza Motorsport I don't care about, Lol.
I never thought Starfield would be 90s, I will always stick to high 80s, a new IP is always challenging and it doesn't have an established fanbase who will forgive certain things because they're fanboys of the franchise, I expect some usual Bethesda jank and bugs as well but I don't think they'd dock the score much for that.
Reviewers tend to forgive things more easily for established franchises than they can new IPs.
Just look at how Dragon Age Inquisition was considered GOTY by reviewers but widely a disappointment by fans, Halo 5 still has a strong score but a large portion of the fanbase despises it, Wolfenstein II is rated higher than Wolfenstein I but the fanbase at large considers Wolfenstein I to be better and Wolfenstein II to be a bit of a disappointment.
I still think a strong high 80s is on the cards but I don't know, I think it's risky to base a 90+ on what only Skyrim & Oblivion scored.
Not even Fallout New Vegas or Fallout 4 scored in the 90s so I'm unsure where this 90+ certainty comes from, Lol.
