Obsidian game directors Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky agree that Fallout New Vegas Remastered would be "awesome", and are still interested in their hugely popular 2011 RPG. This comes as Obsidian unveils The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition, indicating that it would love to give New Vegas the same next-gen treatment.

Speaking to TheGamer, Cain says that he'd love to see a "graphical remaster" of New Vegas - something that fellow game director Boyarsky wholeheartedly agrees with. This came in response to The Outer Worlds production director Eric DeMilt explaining that graphics are never Obisidan's priority, but still sees potential in giving New Vegas a current-gen facelift.

"Not that it's up to me, but wouldn't a graphical remaster of Fallout New Vegas be awesome?" says Cain. Boyarsky is quick to agree: "It would be awesome".

Fallout New Vegas Remastered Would Be "Awesome", Says Obsidian

So the speculation that Tim Cain had left Obsidian was not true! That's a bit interesting, Brandon Adler is Game Director of The Outer Worlds 2 and Leonard Boyarsky is Creative Director but Tim Cain isn't listed at all. So what is Tim Cain up to? He doesn't seem to have a Linkedin, if not The Outer Worlds 2 then either Avowed or something unannounced.

Plot twist, it’s already being worked on and Cain is the one helming it! I’m glad he’s still at Obsidian for now.

Lol. It could be possible that he is actually on The Outer Worlds 2 but the company which did the CG trailer missed him for whatever reason, I doubt he's on Avowed, I also wonder if a lot of these Fallout comments from Obsidian are an effort from them to put a little public pressure onto Bethesda to allow Obsidian to work on the IP again, Lol.

I love Fallout 3/4 but could never get into New Vegas. Maybe with a remake they could win me over. Weirdly I apparently put more hours into 76 on a single-playthrough than New Vegas and I remember nothing about 76.

My Bethesda RPG hours across all platforms

Skyrim - 404 Hours (PC+PS4+Switch)
Fallout 4 - 189 Hours (XBO+PS4)
Fallout 3 - 83 Hours (PC+X360)
Fallout New Vegas - 14 Hours (PC+X360)
Fallout 76 - 12 Hours (PC)

New Vegas is the only Fallout that I've played and I thought it was great but Fallout is too bleak for me so I don't keep up with it, Lol.

New Vegas is definitely one you have to put in the time for to get. Fallout 3/4, while I loved them in their own regard, mainly 3, they were more focused on the action than the role-playing. For what Obsidian accomplished in just a year and a half of development, is truly mind blowing. The game has spider webs on spider webs on spider webs of choices/consequences that you'll forget there was even a main story lol. The role-playing comes first before the action.

It won't be everyone's cup of tea for sure, but among fans of the original Fallout games, New Vegas has been the closest for them in terms of that original experience. Probably because Obsidian houses the original Fallout developers lol.

No Starfield Direct announcement, I think some of you aren't praying hard enough to Godd Howard.
