I agree the Xbox hate is tiresome and overdone
I took a look and they issued 19 games this year across all platforms and the scores on Metacritic (not everyone's cup of tea granted however it is an aggregate across all reviews so not just one's opinion) suggests it was in fact a great year for game releases, I believe this does make them the biggest publisher in the world now - if we are talking about game cancellations and lay off's this is not exclusive to Xbox (no pun intended)

1) Feb: Avowed (XB) 80
2) Feb: Age of Mythology (PS) 81
3) Apr: South Of Midnight (XB) 77
4) Apr: Forza Horizon 5 (PS) 92
5) Apr: Indiana Jones (PS5) 88
6) Apr: Oblivion Remake (All) 82
7) Apr: Towerborne (XB) TBA Early Access
8) May: Doom the Dark Ages (All) 85
9) May: Age of Empires 2 (PS) 78
10) Jul: Tony Hawk Pro Skater (All) 86
11) Jul: Grounded 2 (XB) TBA Early Access
12) Aug: Gears of War Reloaded (All) 85
13) Aug: Senuas Saga (PS) 84
14) Aug: Heretic & Hexen (All) 83

Exactly my point. Those scores are fine, and it was a great year for Microsoft. Just because the Sony fanboys, in a Sony dominated market, and YouTubers who just ride on the Microsoft hate since years for clicks is trying to paint a grim picture, does not make it real.

If you look at numbers, Microsoft released a LOT of games this year and the quality was there. Does this mean that ALL games were perfect or amazing, no. But that's a bit expected when you release so many games.

Xbox first-party software is firing on all cylinders and is now releasing a consistent lineup of games. Are they all AAA games? No, but they don't have to all be. This year we know we are getting Halo Campaign Evolved, Gears of War: E-Day, Forza Horizon 6, Fable, Call of Duty 2026, and I am sure plenty of other games / expansions.

Xbox hardware is another story, but that seems to be more on Microsoft higherups not wanting to sell a console at a loss anymore and trying to squeeze out as much profits as possible. If the report that Xbox is looking to shift production to Vietnam turns out to be true that would help offset some of the tariffs in the US. That would either avoid another price hike due to the increasing cost in parts we are seeing due to the AI bubble or possibly see some actual discounts.

No it doesn't because if anything MS has been giving you games so that cannot be the issue.  I would say since 2023 MS cadance for games output has been solid no matter if you enjoy the games or not. 10 games released in 2025 how many only the schedule for this year, I believe 6 that has been announced. How many games are going to make you happy.

Except for Oblivion Remastered (literally not made by a xbox game studio) most games felt like a dud. Avowed did not reach what we hoped for,  Perfect dark and Everwild got cancelled, more lay offs and projects cancelled like the MMO from Bethesda that people were excited for. Gears of war Reloaded was just another rerelease, COD BO7 was one of the of the worst COD's in years, Fallout online had another update with a ton of issues similar with Fallout 4 anniversary edition. Towerborne came and went...  All of it is not what I consider 'Solid'

To be fair, I was talking about release of games not your personal opinion if they were good.

If you are unsatisfied with the games released on MS that is all fine and good but to say they have not released on a regular cadence a lot of games is being disingenuous.  Your taste doesn't define if games are good or bad since there are millions of people who may differ.  All I am saying is that since you seem to already have a negative opinion, that is all we ever hear from you so its hard to take your opinion on something without the veil of bias around it.

I am wrong even when media/gamers agree? bashing = Because MS deserves it.

Just from your list people expected a ton more of Avowed at best you can call it fine,
Diablo community is on fire they are not liking it,
Doom TDA is not that received well by the community,
Fallout 76 exp literally comes with a ton of issues.
ESO can't tell it is just their.
Bo7 isn't really liked even sales are down a lot compared to BO6.
The Outer world 2 released and went, it was great for the ones who really enjoyed the first one but most just skipped the game  400.000 players on TA for Outer Worlds 1 compared to 88K for Outer Worlds 2.
South of midnight had barely any expectations and did like expected.
Gears of war reloaded was a rerelease
Indiana Jones exp is like a 5 hour experience that even people called in this thread 'something you should get on a sale it is not worth full price'

And yes Oblivion Remastered was the second best selling game from Xbox that isn't made by them and saw the most love from gamers even when it still had many issues.

I mean, all your point is about what "the community" or "people" are saying... Not about the game itself and why it is actually bad, and the same can be said about most games out there, but some exceptions. The gaming community is one of the most toxic out there, and you seem to be basically basing all your opinions on what YouTubers (or call it the community if you want) in a market dominated by Sony are saying; I can tell you that the only way for the "community" to be happy with Microsoft would be for Microsoft to announce the resurection of jesus or something like that.

Microsoft delivered the games; you may not like them, but they definitely did, and 2026 does not seem to be different.

I mean do I really have to? If 400.000 TA players played Outer Worlds 1 but less than 100K played its sequel, what does that mean? I would say that most played the first one but did not enjoyed it enough to play the second one. A similar thing with BO7.
Fallout 76/F4 anniversary edition issues are also not a secret and I can go on. This year felt very dissapointing and even the Xbox community on Pure xbox or TA are not happy and saying it is because of youtube/Media is a bit cheap.  Nintendo also got a lot of hate on youtube but in 6 months they also deliverd some games and some like DK was received extremely well.

But I am looking forward for this year; they better not screw up Gears for me personally.
