The next Xbox will be high-end and curated, teases Xbox president Sarah Bond:

"The next-gen console will be a very premium and high-end curated experience. You're starting to see some of the thinking we have in this handheld, but I don't want to give it all away"

Sounds like she pretty much confirmed the rumors the next-gen Xbox will be a hybrid PC console with. It could mean they avoid the tariffs in the US as PCs are exempt.

I am cool if the system cost a decent penny if and only if MS really get the software down. I want a much better integrated system between PC and console and that means MS will need to developer the proper hooks between Steam and all the other stores so no jump out of Xbox mode. Also want a much better development on hot swapping in and out of Xbox mode as well. MS really need to get this part right and not half ass like its done for he ROG Ally devices.

100%! Nintendo and Sony have been hardware-centric companies for a long time. Sony moreso. There's no way Microsoft can fully compete with either of them head-to-head. They're a software company. So they NEED to beat both of them on the software front since that's literally supposed to be their biggest strength.
The big concern and question mark currently is how Satya said that up to 30% of all code Microsoft writes these days is AI written. How much of this new platform structure that they're working on is being written by AI, and how well will it be implemented? That may be one of the biggest do or die factors of this new Xbox.

Exactly. I'm down for a premium device but it need to be my next pc and next console at the same time. The way I see it is even if the price tag is premium there should still be room for it to be way cheaper than equivalent PC spec wise.
As for Asus Xbox Ally X. It's not as clear, they can do better but for now the pricing is still competitve when looking at competition from lenovo or ayaneo. The os is still a huge improvement compare to other windows handheld but yeah it still bloated. The thing is, it's still a Asus device with Xbox branding slapped on and not an actual Xbox. Ms is testing the water here and collecting data so I'm confident it'll be fixed with their next in house hardware.

If MS is actually creating an emulation that would allow these devices to play Xbox games native on the handhelds as well as PC, that would be a huge win for them because then people can feel confident in their game libraries they have built for years coming over. Basically MS needs to take the same steps like Valve with SteamOS. MS needs to develop the Xbox interface system so that its able to access as much of the system resources without full blown Windows as much as possible but still allowing PC gamers to utilize the other store fronts. Also, it would be very interesting if MS built their next system that allows you to add or replace the GPU and CPU in some type of hot swappable mode but that is probably asking for way to much on the engineering side.
Well they are still saying but wish they were more open with the plans with xbox ally, (updates, more play anywhere titels etc)
Nice watch, or if you need a TLTW: It plays KI extremely well
