They definitely have a good first half as long as Starfield makes June. A Starfield delay will really hurt them though, Forza is nice but it's just more Forza (most Forza fans will have already bought a Series S or X by now to play Horizon 5), and I don't expect Redfall to be a megahit, will probably be fairly comparable to Deathloop in popularity, unless this upcoming gameplay demo is alot more impressive than what was shown back at E3.

Looking at ID@Xbox/Twitch.

Those events were held on March 26th, August 10th, March 16th, September 14th.

So we may be due another one in March-ish if it survives...It may survive depending on the partnership Xbox has with Twitch.

Really hope it doesn't and they instead do a ID@Xbox Developer Direct...That would be really cool.

But if it has survived then yeah, likely have an ID@Xbox/Twitch show in March.

The thought of that Starfield show is making me moist.

Wonder how long Elder Scrolls Online will actually get at this event since they are still doing the "Global Reveal Event" right after the showcase. Why deep dive into it when you're going to be deep diving into it literally right after the showcase and you can tell watchers that?

Redfall should get the longest time, especially since there is still some uncertainty around it and what sort of game it is, they need to show us how exactly it is like that Farcry comparison that they gave, we need to see it in video format, not just text.

Motorsport should be next since they're going to brag about how beautiful it is but I think they shouldn't spend too long on it since the general audience won't care about how super sim this Forza is, nor will they want to know all the little details of how a car works, Lol, save that for the Forza livestream.

Then Minecraft Legends should be above ESO because it's Minecraft but also not spend too long because we've already seen a decent amount and have a good idea of what it is like and what to expect.

Then ESO because it's just an update and getting its own deep dive right after the showcase.

Yeah, NGL...I'm looking forward to this showcase but in the back of my head I'm constantly thinking about the Starfield showcase, I can't wait for a lengthy deep-dive, hopefully 30 minutes at least, into Starfield from Todd Howard, it's going to be amazing, Lol. I'm trying to focus on the upcoming showcase but I'm really looking forward to the Starfield one and just want to know when it is.

Dont' feel bad... Same here... I mean, I'm happy about the other show :) But man, Starfield is all I can think of right now; so happy to have a dedicated event for it.

Playing through Far Cry 6. Anyone want to post their thoughts?

Played 5 FC games last year, so I'm definitely fatigued tbh on the series. Fall damage is super annoying making traversal more of a pain tbh. I think this is Ubisoft's best looking game. Enjoy the villain, but only on like act 2. No where near as good as Vaas, or even Joseph Seed imo. Thoughts?

6 was pretty good imo. It had a proper 3rd world setting that actually made sense, unlike 5's Montana setting (which required a level of suspension of disbelief that I struggled with), the villain is the 2nd best out of the 6 Far Cry games I have played (behind only Vaas), the graphics are the best in the series so far, the makeshift rebel weapons were fun, the faster running speed powers were cool for speeding up travel around the huge world, the Stranger Things DLC was fun, the pets were cool.

My main issues were that it was a bit too big (took me like 60 hours to do everything, which is a bit too long for a non-RPG game), disliking a few of the NPC characters, Hurk not appearing at all like her did in the previous several games and Willis barely appearing, and the fact that they got rid of the skill trees in favor of clothing based powers which felt more limiting.

My ranking for the series so far:

  1. Far Cry 3
  2. Far Cry Blood Dragon
  3. Far Cry 6
  4. Far Cry 4
  5. Far Cry Primal
  6. Far Cry 5

Ubisoft is completely collapsing.

Yeah, it is sad to see. 7 unannounced games cancelled in 6 months (4 in July, 3 in January). Skull & Bones delayed yet again (though this time only from March to Q2). They claim they are cancelling these 7 unannounced games to focus on their core series and make them larger sources of revenue (presumably those Core series would be Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Just Dance, Tom Clancy, and maybe Watch Dogs). I hope it works out for them, I'd really hate to see them get acquired by Netease or Tencent, as I don't trust the Chinese at all, and Sony would be even worse as they would make most of their games exclusive to PS. Embracer meanwhile probably wouldn't be allowed to acquire them, as Embracer already has 132 game studios and 17,500 employees, and acquiring Ubisoft would bring them up to 184 studios and nearly 38,000 employees, not sure if the regulators would like the idea of the fate of 38,000 game developers and publishers resting in the hands of a single company. So that doesn't exactly leave anybody good to acquire Ubisoft. Xbox wouldn't be allowed to unless they abandon ABK first.

Ubisoft would be Amazons most realistic and cheapest choice to seriously get into the gaming space, these big Tech companies need to realize that the only real way to get into the AAA game industry is to buy yourself in at this point.

I disagree and believe that Embracer would be allowed to buy Ubisoft if they tried to merge but that would be a stupid move considering that it wouldn't fix any of Ubisoft's or Embracer's current problems and only make them worse. Honestly it looks like Tencent would be the front runners if a acquisition were to happen, also there is zero chance that Sony would even try imo a purchase like this would be over 10 billion easy.
