Just pre-ordered Wuchang and bought Clair 33 for £37.50 each. I think I’m doing this GP thing wrong ☺️😅

Nah I do the same :) To support the devs.

I mean, GP is great and unlike the non-sense some are putting out, this is really good for devs and making those new games published without any risk (compared to having to actually "sell" the game to make money...

But giving them extra money is not a bad thing ;)

Lots of fun things coming from Xbox first-party and to Xbox Game Pass in May.

• First-party release: DOOM: The Dark Ages

Xbox & Game Pass was key to Expedition 33 success:

“[At the Xbox Showcase] it was placed next to Gears of War, Fable & AAA games. It let people understand what Expedition 33 was in a way that we would've struggled to do if we weren't allied with Xbox."

You Can Heal The Beggars' Diseases: r/oblivion

Wtf. I love that I'm learning new things about Oblivion in 2025.

I'm going to go around healing beggars when I get back to my good character

This statement has upset many online lol but there is truth to it. Not 100% necessarily being announced alongside other notable IPs, but due to Xbox consistently being one of the only must watch summer showcases. They’re still keeping the E3 spirit alive in that regard.

Nintendo being the only other notable one. Like yeah, there’s SGF but Geoff’s shows are so inconsistent that I don’t even know anyone who watches it lol. And those that do end up with “there were a couple of cool titles, but overall pretty meh” but with Xbox’s showcases, they’re so consistent on major releases shown that always draws in the hardcore crowd, that it really got people talking about Clair Obscur in a way that even surprised me! This is definitely gonna be my next game.

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

“We always knew that Expedition 33 had a very specific identity,” Handrahan said. “When I was in the press, I saw the Western-style RPG and the Japanese-style RPG as having quite different appeals and audiences. I knew plenty of people that would play an Elder Scrolls game that wouldn't necessarily play Final Fantasy and vice versa.

“Also, by the time that we rolled around, we had momentum of our own and we felt pretty confident that we could stand beside it. I think there were other aspects, like the price point we were at and the inclusion in Game Pass… so we knew we would have a lot of interest around the game. We were confident in that. And it went as well as it possibly could have done in our eyes. And, actually, proximity to Oblivion didn't seem to harm us at all. In many ways, I think it just drew attention to quality RPGs that week and everybody was thinking and talking about the genre.”

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Publisher Says The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Shadow-Drop Actually Benefitted the Game by Drawing Attention to ‘Quality RPGs That Week’ - IGN

I think I can kind of see the logic, Lol. It reminds me a little of Barbenheimer, two quality films releasing near each other, different genres and yet somehow benefiting each other and giving each other a boost, I don't think Expedition 33/Oblivion Remaster were meme'd to success but I see the logic that it drew attention to quality RPGs and everybody were talking about either Oblivion Remaster or Expedition 33.

Now stop asking them about Oblivion Remaster and talk about their game I'm sure they'll eventually get sick of "Omfg did Microsoft screw you?" bait, they've said it didn't hurt them, they've said it may have actually helped them, both titles have been extremely successful, lets be happy for them both, I don't get why people are all "No you lying! Microsoft fucked you!" like, chill, nobody knows what could have been but we can see that both games have been very, very successful so who gives a shit, Lol.

Difficulty Slider Fixed 2.5x mod on expert is the perfect difficulty for me. Fights are tough and I'm at risk of dying but enemies aren't too ridiculously tanky. The vanilla difficulties really are strange. Lol.

For what game is this for?
