Yeah I guess I mean more the gaming industry that I knew is imploding in favor of this:

This is all my nieces and nephews, Lol. Combined with what Alanah said about TikTok.

My nieces and nephews all have Xbox, Switch, etc. But spend like 60% of their time scrolling on TikTok for hours (I hate TikTok, Lmao), but it is obviously extremely addictive, of course that massively hurts the videogame industry, back in my day I didn't have something like TikTok so instead spent hours playing different videogames but it's absolutely correct that TikTok is just as much competition to videogames today than videogames are to each other, along with Netflix and stuff.

Then when they finally get their heads out of TikTok, what do they play? The blackhole games, Lmao. They wouldn't know half the games I play, they largely spend most of their time in Fortnite or Minecraft. This is the challenge the industry has nowadays, I mean, people like me and you, of course we play a variety of videogames but we're a dying breed and the new generation is more interested in their mobile phones, TikTok and if they are into console hardware a lot of them are still only playing 1-2 videogames a year, which tend to be the blackhole games.

My niece even prefers to play Roblox on their phone than their Xbox.

Same bro! My niece and nephew are 10 and 8, and my sister will tell me when they're home from school, it'll be a combination of Netflix, TikTok, Instagram, then for about 30 minutes or so they'll play Roblox or Minecraft, then back to Netflix, TikTok, and hopefully get them to play outside for a little bit

I'm like, my childhood was mowing lawns just to save up for a Game Boy to play Pokémon or spending weekends at my cousins playing N64, PlayStation, or Xbox lol

Clair Obscur Expedition 33 publisher Kepler says the launch of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered didn’t seem to harm us at all

35% of Expedition 33 players also played the Elder Scrolls remaster

They didn't hurt each other at all, Lol. Fuck my time though, Microsoft is going to be emboldened to drop even more games on top of each other

Honestly though, The Outer Worlds 1 got away with launching on the same date as Call of Duty last time around so...I mean, if GTA VI is too scary...I'm not sure COD will hurt The Outer Worlds 2 that much if they launch near each other.

Tbh I clearly massively overestimated the impact of launching E33/Oblivion near each other.

Lets just not go too extreme and drop The Outer Worlds 2 on GTA 6's date.

I'm roleplaying a real bastard evil character in Oblivion, I obviously did the Dark Brotherhood but I'm now going around each Daedric Shrine, doing their quests to receive their gifts, then murdering all their followers, Lmao. If this character was canon he would have so many Daedric Princes fighting over his soul. Except some like Sheogorath would find it funny rather than be angry about it.

I mean, I'm over 40 and don't even have TikTok on my phone but my gaming time also reduced a lot some years ago already not only because of my "normal" life but because of YouTube and Twitch. Without those I would definitely put much more time into games.

I had some years now when I almost didn't play at all and just a few streamers/YouTubers are the reason for that. I start to watch someone I like and then I watch even more random videos from other channels because I'm already in the app lol

Lol just ran into my first bug in oblivion. Goblins attack a farm in a quest but it can spawn way more than it's meant to sometimes. 20+ goblins pouring into a little farm.

First?! FIRST?!

I don't know whether to feel sorry for you or not, you need to pump those bug numbers up!

Jk, I've not really ran into that many bugs either, I need more.

Also I instantly know that quest, Lol.

Only about 5 hours in but other than choral spawning me before it had finished loading in the floor and scenery yeah lol. For some reason I rarely run into bugs in Bethesda games compared to others.

Reloaded and got what I assume is the normal 3 waves of 3-4 goblins each. Instead of 3 goblins followed by 20 that annihilated the brothers.

Omg this is hilarious, I found a video of it, Lol.

Extra goblins during Killing Field quest (glitch) : r/oblivion

Honestly I had to lower the difficulty because one of the brothers kept dying but I wish I had this now

I think I was like level 20 around the time I did that quest, Lol. Dreading trying to keep people alive during the main quest.
