Honestly Oblivion remake looks terrible. We’re back to the 2010s brown filter. Should have remade Morrowind, at least that game was already brown af.

Graphically, it looks closer to a remake than a remaster.

The details in the structures, environments, the foliage, the skybox, fidelity, etc. All of these things have received substantial upgrades and look brilliant. The colour change is jarring and looks closer to Skyrim than Oblivion. That one landscape shot where it really stands out, other areas are still full with greenery so I'm not sure why that one landscape shot is just super brown.

But even in the green shots it has still lost some of the vibrancy than Oblivion had, like a whimsical colourful and bright painting is now muted.

I think only the people who played Oblivion will care though...All the Skyrim newbies won't give a shit, Lol. Boo.

Well moving from an old ass engine like gambryo to unreal 5 it would have to be a remake really.

But companies have no idea how to use the words remake and remaster (and most users too).

Still remember Activision calling the Crash NSane Trilogy "remasters".

Xbox Game Pass just gave their 2nd wave of April drop. It includes some heavy hitters like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and 8 more.

Personally I think it looks good. I played a good 15-20 hours or so of it on my Xbox Series, so in 4k. But my main problem with it is the UI and People. The game felt very aged and clunky after playing hundreds of hours of Skyrim first. So in the end I did drop it.

The only downside is mod support, it might not get many (or any) mods with it being UE5. But as I've never finished vanilla oblivion it won't stop me.

Going from UE5 back to Creation Engine for TES6 is going to be a whole thing.

So GTA V is coming back to xCloud, it wasn't announced for it at first, every time it has been available on xCloud it has slammed the servers so, Lol. Crime Scene Cleaner looks hilarious, Lmfao. These simulator games are getting out of hand, this has 97% on Steam after 19k reviews! I might actually play it!

Far Cry 4 and Anno 1800 are nice drops but I wish Ubisoft would put fecking Avatar and Outlaws on Game Pass already. I'm actually a little relieved it was Modern Warfare II because I don't give a fuck about that one, I'm waiting for Cold War but don't really have the time for them right now. Dredge is a solid drop.

Strong month for Game Pass, with Oblivion Remaster still to come.

Smdh.

I feel sorry for Expedition 33 though.

Also this is dumb now, just announce Oblivion at this stage, I'm there day one and there's going to be zero difference between a shadow-drop and announcement a week ahead of release at this stage, shit is already leaked everywhere, the shadow-drop has lost all of its "surprise" impact. Announce it now so we can discuss and talk about the changes with images/videos even better than the ones leaked.
