A quick update on The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion announcement & release timing:

As plans stand: Both the release and reveal are targeting next month (April). The gap between the reveal and release will be minimal -- a shadow drop is possible. https://t.co/ex0QenFBn9

They're releasing far too much in April though.

I'm happy with an April release personally. Is it a wise choice for MS though, when they have South of Midnight early April, Forza Horizon 5 PS5 late April (I'm assuming Oblivion remake is day one PS5) and then Doom in mid May? Probably not, would have been better to save it for their Summer Showcase in June probably, and then shadow drop the game immediately after the Showcase, since June has zero releases from Xbox Game Studios currently on the schedule. Hopefully it releases later in April, I'd rather not see it hurt South of Midnight sales by releasing like one week after or something.

You forgot Indiana Jones is mid-April for PS5 too, Lol.
As long as it's away from South of Midnight I suppose I won't care too much, but I still think June was a better release month, April is already stacked, May has Doom, June had nothing and is typically a relatively light month and would have made for an awesome June showcase announcement + Release now moment. April may be huge for Microsoft but releasing Indiana Jones, Oblivion and FH5 so close to each other on PS5 may end up eating into each other, especially given they're all lengthy games.
