I would definitely not personally. Definitely not for it's launch price of $70. Did you like it that much?

I did... I mean you seem to believe that everyone should have your taste in videogame?

Clearly, I do not have the same taste. I really like the game and as a Skyrim/Fallout/Oblivion enthusiast; I would definitely recommend this game...

You seem to believe that if we disagree with you it is either because we are "blind Xbox fans" or something else... Why would you not also consider that it is maybe because we "actually" like the game?

I respect the fact that every game is not for everyone and clearly you had different expectation for Avowed than most of us here... This is fine; but it does not make the game bad in any way; just not for you.

You can like whatever game you want. I enjoy Avowed to an extent and it's obviously better if more people enjoy it than not.

But if you were to recommend buying this game for $70 on the basis of being any RPG, Obsidian or PoE Lore fan, I'm not going to be listening to your recommendations ever again.

I guess it's just part of the industry that whatever MS's studios will release, people will complain about anything they can find.

Bit wild to discredit someone's recommendations entirely, forever, simply because they would have recommended a game that they enjoyed, Lol. I'm sure I can find a videogame for every single user in here that I personally don't like and therefore wouldn't have seen it as worth the price, or time, but it doesn't mean I would discredit someone's opinion on absolutely everything.

And it's fine :) Clearly, we have different tastes/expectations; I'm okay with that :D
You may be missing out on some good stuff, though!

Almost forgot to pre-order Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, I hope the RGGods will forgive me, I'm not even playing it on day one but they deserve my money, but 81 OpenCritic and a few reviewers who really didn't like it? Clearly RGG is a failure, why haven't they learned what the people really want? Why didn't they copy Persona? Grand Theft Auto? Should have been a $200m massive AAA.

*Cancels Pre-Order* - Do Not Recommend!

Just two random tips for Avowed.

Prepare for the 2nd area, I was finding the 1st area fairly easy then I got my ass kicked slightly in the 2nd area, upgrade your weapons. What I'm doing is scrapping common items and selling anything higher (except unique) and then just using the money to buy crafting materials, along with picking up everything I come across, Lol.

In the 2nd area you're going to want to go to the left side of the map to pick up needed crafting materials.

Also didn't realise how much common upgrade materials I had so I just crafted a lot of those up into higher crafting materials, now on entering the 3rd area my weapons are at exceptional level and almost superb, I've still stuck with two weapons I got in the first area and just been upgrading those because I'm attached to the fire sword/electric pistol combo, Lol.

Second tip is look behind waterfalls. 👀

Guess I missed the post but no opinion on Netflix buying the rights to the recent Halo show?

I don't think they've bought the whole rights, only the streaming rights to the seasons, Paramount still owns it AFAIK, Paramount is in a bit of a financial difficulty so I imagine this is them simply making a little bit of extra cash by throwing some of their shows to other streaming services. Doubt Netflix is looking into reviving it, Netflix is already cancel happy with shows and Halo is expensive.

Did not see this.

I'm more excited about the Forgotten Realms show than any new Halo show at this point...
They could do something amazing with the Halo universe but for some reason; they are just doing weird stuff instead; did not hate the Paramount show but it was a bit weird and no going canon was definitely not the best choice imo.
