Also, if I heard right before, this would be the 2nd time a Wolfenstein series hasn't received a 3rd entry, FFS.

Speaking of, I wonder if Machine will go back and finish Wolfenstein 3 next, or immediately start on a new Indiana Jones game since this one was fairly successful?

Apparently their next game is a multiplayer title so no, Lol.

These fuckers are never going to let us kill Hitler.

Eh, that is disappointing, they should stick with what they know instead of trying to do multiplayer, way too much competition in multiplayer games. I think there is quite alot of Indy sequel potential, several years they can set games in between The Last Crusade and America entering WW2. And we really need that final Wolfenstein game, finish out the BJ Blazkowicz story and defeat the Nazis once and for all.

Actually this would technically be the 3rd time lol. You had the original 2 games in the 80s with the second being a direct sequel, then the 2 games in the 2000s with Wolfenstein (2009) being a loose sequel to Return in 2001, then of course MachineGames 2 most recent releases lol.

Wolfenstein crawled so Valve could run

Where you'd hear about the next game being MP though????

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

Holy shit! we are getting a digimon game!

They have two teams/studios now remember, I have no doubt they'll do an Indy sequel.

But I do agree the multiplayer project is too risky if it's true, the multiplayer market is far too saturated now.

It was a rumour posted to ResetEra based on Jeff Gerstmann in June 2024 saying they were working on a multiplayer project like Rainbow Six Siege/Counter Strike which sounds awful NGL and if they are going to be doing any "multiplayer" project then it should be Quake, Imo. New IP which is direct competition to Rainbow Six sounds DOA or extremely risky.

Bruh.....that would be CRAZY! 90s arena shooters flow through MachineGames veins! In their early days, they would spend weekends just modding Quake. Even outside of Wolfenstein, they've developed expansions for each of the Quake remasters and the Doom 1+2 remaster last year!

Unless it's based on a well known existing IP, that's an extremely risky proposal.

Indiana Jones is fun, but damn this game is the biggest technical mess I have ever attempted to play. Everything was fine on the Indiana Jones 1 jungle prequel dream and the Vatican, I was running the game with max settings on everything but texture pool size at 1080p with DLSS Ultra with 60+ fps almost all of the time. As soon as I got to Giza, everything went completely to shit. I get these massive FPS drops when moving around, especially when exiting a cave or building and coming out into the sunlight, but also at other times. I've lowered every graphics setting in the game to lowest setting and these framedrops still happen. At first it was just an annoyance and I managed to explore alot of Giza, but now I've just reached an area where I need to transition from one bullwhip swing to a 2nd bullwhip swing and the massive FPS drop happens right while I'm swinging, so the huge additional input latency means I can't aim at the 2nd bullwhip anchor point in time, and have now fallen to my death about 20 times attempting it. I'm really at a loss on what to do here, I've done everything I could find online from disabling DLSS to going into the Nvidia Control Panel and making sure low latency mode was off, still massive framerate drops. I guess I'm going to have to install it on my Series X and pickup from there, thank God for crossplay on Xbox.

One thing is for sure, if Machine is going to keep using this id Tech 7 derived internal engine, they need to get id's engineers to help them get it running better. Not only does the game run like crap on PC even 2 months after release, but there are all kinds of graphical issues on the Giza map such as checkerboard artifacts, pop-in, and lots of aliasing, it certainly doesn't look anywhere near as good as Doom Eternal or the earlier jungle and Vatican maps. I think they bit off more than they could chew attempting to make a map this size in id tech.

EDit: Ok, I just realized that my Nvidia app automatic driver downloads got turned off at some point and I don't have the latest drivers, downloading those now to see if that fixes the issue.
