Here's what Tom said exactly, as I don't have access to the Notepad but saw someone else post it.

There's a long-running joke in the Xbox community that Microsoft will finally hit its stride with Game Pass and Xbox releases "next year." The joke has been going around since 2018, when Microsoft made a series of big studio acquisitions to create more Xbox games and make Game Pass more appealing. Year after year, Xbox fans have been waiting for a solid 12 months of new games to play, and it now looks like 2025 is going to be that "next year" everyone has been waiting for.

Published by Xbox Game Studios, Ninja Gaiden 4 is the latest entry in a long-running franchise that's seen a lot of success on Xbox in the past. South of Midnight finally got a release date and a deeper dive into the gameplay and story, too. It's heading to Game Pass on April 8th and will be joined that month by Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 — the debut title from Sandfall Interactive on April 24th. It looks like Doom: The Dark Ages will have some unique gameplay that sets it apart from previous entries in the Doom franchise, and I'm really looking forward to playing this one on May 15th. These three new games now make for a packed series of Xbox Game Pass releases in the coming months. Obsidian's Avowed is arriving on February 18th, just weeks after Sniper Elite: Resistance, Eternal Strands, and Citizen Sleeper 2 appear on day one in Game Pass.

Microsoft's Xbox summer showcase will then set the stage for the rest of the year and beyond. Ninja Gaiden 4 is coming in the fall, but Microsoft announced that The Outer Worlds 2 and Fable are 2025 releases. It will also be interesting to see if Gears of War: E-Day will make the 2025 release date I'd heard Microsoft was planning for last year.

There could be some more surprises on the way, too. In recent weeks, rumors have pointed toward a remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I first heard about this remaster last year, and at the time, Microsoft was tentatively targeting a release in late spring or early summer 2025. I'm also hoping we hear more about Contraband or Clockwork Revolution at the Xbox summer showcase.

The Verge

Man I would find it so hard to believe if E-Day was out this year. I know the timeframe sounds about right, but I can't help but feel a Gears remaster collection would make more sense prior to releasing E-Day since it's a new mainline entry.

Suppose Towerborne Beta could launch March on Xbox, since it's empty for Xbox IP.

Towerborne was my most anticipated game last year from xbox or atleast possible a hidden gem but since then I saw a ton of posts about 'play this event in Towerborne to get exclusive items and more' Makes me feel I missed out already on a ton of stuff, it is like starting to play COD mainline game when season 5 started and you missed out on the first seasons...

LOL bruh......good news is that you can hold off on Doom for a bit as id made it clear during the Direct that Dark Ages will directly lead into Doom 2016. So it would probably be best start Doom with the Dark Ages. So that buys you about 4 months to get through the other 2 series

It was also one of my most anticipated till I realized it was a GaaS. Not every game needs to be one ffs, I'll probably still check it out but damn

Finally got my copy but I had to import it...

Absolutely love these two shots of teams being hype to simply create cool stuff and sharing it with the world (id Software / Platinum Games).

-first conversations about Ninja Gaiden 4 started 6 or 7 years ago

- happy about progress with publishers from Japan, always more work to do, very excited about Ninja Gaiden 4; "This is what the Xbox community deserves and I want to stay focused on that"

- Xbox loves their own native hardware and they'll continue to do these

- "'Box' is in our brand name, our hardware is fundamental to what Xbox is"

- On future Xbox hardware: "We want our Xbox hardware to win based on the hardware capabilities we have"

- Creators more and more want their games to be played by as many players as possible and Xbox wants to allow that

- Will continue to ship more and more games to other platforms, "not just on Playstation, we also love the work we do with Nintendo or Valve"

- Xbox now puts games first instead of building artificial walls

- "I've never been more excited about our [games] portfolio."

- "When I look at the quality of games we launched and the games that are ahead, it's great to be a part of that. It's been a lot of work and it'll continue to be a lot of work, but I'm really happy about [where we are]."

- Asked about his legacy, Phil simply wants to make sure Xbox and all the connected teams and studios are setup for longterm success.
