I finished Killer is Dead. Unlocked and bought the Ulti Mondo costume. It's cool. It's ac ool game that reminds me in many ways of a great 80s anime movie called Wicked City. It's like Blade Runner meets Men in Black but for demons/vampires. It's gory but amazing. Has a good noir tone to it. KiD in some ways reminds me of it and the MC pension for chasing women and one of them turns out to be something else. The black suit and organization. KiD is still pretty different but I like the darker tone tho still silly and stylized. I wish more action games were like this in the setting. It's usually sci-fi. Fantasy or DMC-like. Which I do love but a nice change of pace like Hi Fi was.

But Microsoft will be at the switch 2 event in some form, I even give it a possibility that Phil will show up to announce some xbox games coming to switch 2 and maybe but that is a very small possibility that they will announce a remaster or new game from a popular Rare N64 game coming to switch 2.

Seems like Tencent and NetEase are both pulling back investment in North America and Japan, the Japan part was already reported on a few weeks back but recently Humanoid Origin had to close due to investment drying up (NetEase was funding them) and then another ex-Bioware veterans studio (Worlds Untold) had to cease operations this week as NetEase has pulled funding from them as well, Shinobi is also hinting that we should keep an eye out on Jar of Sparks as potentially the next casualty.

It stings because they both were working on AAA Sci-Fi, an RPG for Humanoid and Action-Adventure for World's Untold...When Sci-Fi is done right, it beats any Fantasy Imho...We have far too much "Fantasy RPG" and barely any "Sci-Fi RPG" so it sucks to see even new possibilities fall flat before even given a chance, I think sadly Sci-Fi RPGs are more expensive and more risky than Fantasy RPGs though.

Anyway this is what I said a year or so ago, so many of the COVID-era studios will close before even releasing a videogame and it's not just independent AAA studios, the investor money is drying up everywhere and investors also don't want to invest in anything but AAA so it's hard for even the smaller indie studios to get funding lately, I've seen multiple reports on this issue, it just sucks all round.

Bunch of stupid investors and executives throwing cash around during COVID when gaming was exploding and thinking it would carry on post-pandemic but now the industry has stagnated they're all panicking and pulling investment before even giving their investments a chance to release anything, AAAs can't be released in 3 fucking years under a brand new studio but they also refuse to invest in anything which isn't a big project, it's ridiculous, Lol. I expect more than half of these "new studios" I was tracking will end up closing Tbh.

It's also funny because I made note that Tencent and Microsoft were gobbling already established studios while NetEase was instead forming new studios around veterans, they've created so many studios based solely around veterans of other studios and I at the time thought that was pretty admirable and kind of interesting to see which approach would be better for the long term.

Big corps gobble studios up, they grow too large, veterans leave, they form new studios and receive investment sometimes based on their name alone, in come companies like NetEase to fund them. But it looks like NetEase is about to take a bullet to all these "veteran created" studios, Lol.

On BlueSky you can set up these Starter-Pack like things where you send a link to someone and it gives them a list of everyone to follow in a certain thing, like it could be "Xbox Employees" and you open the link and it shows all Xbox employees to follow, it's user created and I have one for Xbox employees and Ukraine journalists.

It made me kind of regret closing my Twitter account because I could have made one for all the accounts I followed on Twitter for news and it can be like the "Ryuu News Pack" Lmao. My Twitter timeline was almost purely news, no rage-bait idiots, no console warriors and the occasional wholesome vibes from Paris and Miles. It was optimised for news posting Why I was so good at it in the past.

  • Fixed issues with performance drops/potential out-of-memory crashes in hubs and locations crowded with NPCs during long play sessions.
  • Weapons and armor repair cost is decreased.
  • Money reward for most missions is increased from 2 to 3 times.
  • Mutant debuffs.
  • Increased gamepad dead zones.
  • Main mission fixes.
  • Fixed inconsistencies with weapon and armor upgrade effects, including pricing and upgrade reversals.
  • Fixed flickering textures in various locations, including the Sphere, Military Base and Chemical Plant.

These are just the highlights and major QoL changes.

Anyone playing Stalker 2 on console tell me if the deadzone is acceptable now and I might jump in for December.

I started playing on PC for now and the dead zone was a bit off indeed, I assume it is the same on Xbox. I will give it a try later today.
I want to finish Dragon Age at 100% first so they can fix as many issues as they can now so I can enjoy it when I start my full playthrough.

Hmm, I may do Dragon Age - Indiana Jones - Stalker 2.

Or Stalker 2 - Indiana Jones - Dragon Age, Lol.

I suppose Dragon Age makes more sense since it'll give Stalker 2 a few more updates.
