Only like a half an hour left and still no Xbox reveals. This is looking pretty dire. Xbox didn't announce any of their 2nd half 2023 lineup at E3 2022, and now it looks like we will have to wait all the way till E3 2023 to learn that lineup. Big fail here if they have nothing to show off. Project Belfry should be ready to reveal as it was an internal 2022 release at one point according to leaks before getting pushed to 2023, and Redfall and Starfield needed to be shown to. Avowed gameplay should be ready by now too, been in active development for 4 years.

You should have never expected them to reveal their Holiday 23 line-up at TGA's Tbh, aside from like, one reveal.

Besides, they have more than enough to talk about in Early 2023 so they don't need to talk much at all about Holiday 23 yet...However! The lack of their early 23 line-up is noticeable, my feeling is proving correct so far, we shall see if it still is by the end.

I'm sort of hoping it is and it's because they have an X0 planned for Early 23.

It's looking like they literally have nothing this year. Musical performance now, FF16 and GOTY reveal still to come, with only 18 minutes left. This is a disaster for Xbox, the last few years they always had something for The Game Awards, usually like 3 things as I recall. Now, nothing. Not even a Redfall trailer when Redfall badly needs the marketing due to it's prior marketing failing to build hype.

They better have an XO in early 2023, if we are really down to just 1 show a year now for Xbox at E3:

We gonna be bone dry until June 2023, you know how this works by now guys.

Even less news now until this Activision shit ends. Doubt Sony or MS want to share their big games right now sadly.

If this no TGA reveals for Xbox turns out to be because of regulator scrutiny like that one rumor said.....Fuck the regulators for sure. Sony gets to reveal 4 things at the Game Awards, while Xbox can't reveal anything because the regulators are being dicks and failing to do their actual job of making markets more competitive.

This comment on Era is perfection.

"Watching the TGAs you would be forgiven for forgetting Xbox exists, never mind thinking that governments need to step in to prevent it scoring a monopoly"

I said that I had a feeling, I also said we wouldn't get a Starfield date because they won't date it until it's right near release. Honestly though I'm not too concerned, if it turns out they're doing some sort of Early 23 event then I can live with skipping TGA's, if not then yeah, their marketing is awful, they have quite a lot for Early 2023 across XGS and Game Pass so surely they need to showcase it somewhere.

Or just shadow drop it, Lol.

Still don't buy the argument that they'd no market due to regulators.

  • They had a showcase already during the regulatory process.
  • Regulators already know their announced line-up and can easily make them tell them their unannounced line-up.

Even if it was because of regulators, then you just do a showcase in January when most regulators will have made their final thoughts. The deadlines may be March/April but January will give us an indication of whether they're blocking or not. But I don't think it's regulators, it doesn't make sense to me. Microsoft can't be expected to essentially pause its business for regulators, Lol.

So I will hold hope of an X0 in January or February but if not then LOL Xbox's marketing is the worst in the industry. Maybe they won't but if not then this would be a new low for Xbox marketing, Lol and everything in my head tells me that not marketing due to regulators makes no sense.

It's really the only thing that fits. They've had multiple TGA announces several years in a row. Now, zero so far this show with the show almost over. And it's not like they have nothing to show, we know for a fact they do. Redfall, Ara, Starfield, and Forza are all supposedly 1st half 2023 releases. Meanwhile Avowed, Fable, Contraband, Hellblade 2, Project Mara, and Project Belfry have all been in development long enough that gameplay footage should be ready for all of them now. Xbox is just choosing to not reveal anything this year, even though TGA reveals have been successful for them in the past, with Perfect Dark and Hellblade 2 reveals in particularly building a ton of hype and getting a ton of views. Why would they choose to show nothing? It's the only thing that makes sense at this point. They are terrified that showing games will harm their chances with the regulators. Clearly Activision-Blizzard isn't though, they just showed Diablo 4 off (edit: a Crash game now too).
