In 6ish years, Phil has managed to convince Satya to go from thinking about closing Xbox to promoting Phil to Microsoft's Senior Leadership Team alongside folk at the very top of Microsoft including Satya himself. Then allowed to acquire a dozen or so studios, then allowed to acquire a major publisher, then allowed to acquire the biggest in the world and promoted to CEO of his own division.
People will say "but Microsoft has money!" blah blah blah, thinking that Microsoft as one of the most successful businesses in the world is in the habit of throwing money into something without any sort of plan, Phil had a plan and he convinced the CEO of Microsoft of his plan, now we're here and Gaming for Microsoft is making more money than ever before and is soon close to taking over Windows in revenue.
It's seriously impressive and 10 years ago I could never have imagined Xbox One era Xbox as getting this far.
This was all in 6 years as well which honestly isn't that long, if not for COVID as well the situation would have been even better.

Eurogamer...
"It's unclear how this will work, as Microsoft currently has a trademark on the Fable series and presumably owns rights to the franchise."
This is Peter being sly, not anything to do with Fable's Albion.
I would say that Peter knows what he is doing though and it is a bit deceptive, it would be one thing if it was a developer who had nothing to do with Fable making a game set in Albion but the creator of Fable saying he is making a game set in Albion? Lol.

This is why you don't bully someone, I remember lots of people making fun of Xbox because they had no games. They got what they asked for, more games on Xbox. They pretty much awakened a sleeping giant, a colossus of technology with a money pool so large they could acquire any gaming company they wanted to pretty much.
With the completion of the deal to acquire Activision Blizzard and King, Xbox seemingly now owns all the following franchises:

- Crash Bandicoot
- Spyro the Dragon
- Guitar Hero
- Hexen
- King’s Quest
- Space Quest
- Quest for Glory
- Tenchu
- Pitfall
- Tony Hawk Pro Skater
