Huh, so Starfield wasn't Xbox's biggest launch to date, never would have expected that. Just goes to show what an absolute beast Forza Horizon is (Horizon 5 hit 10m players in about 2 weeks less time than Starfield), it's now definitively Xbox's biggest franchise, at least until TES 6 launches and we can properly compare it against the most recent Forza Horizon at that point. 

Tbf, FH5 was a cross-gen title that also launched on XOne. Starfield is not.

People freaking out over a 2020 email about Nintendo is funny, the reactions goes to show you that people didn't actually read the email itself. The Zenimax Roadmap Leak is massive, if they can contribute at least two AAA games per year from here on out then Xbox is set for the rest of the Gen. I really hope that the Remasters are more closer to Remakes and that New Vegas gets added to that list.

Forza Horizon is a juggernaut but Forza Horizon 5 was on three platforms (Xbox One, PC and Xbox Series) while Starfield is only on two (Xbox Series and PC) so Forza had a larger userbase access. It's also new IP versus established IP that came off the back of Forza Horizon 4 which was also massive. It'll be a fun battle to watch for the LT totals though, I think Starfield will beat it providing it has the support.

But yeah, Forza Horizon is a beast.

- Phil musing on Nintendo was aspirational corpo speak, gently explaining why it was a bad idea without alienating the commenter.

- Calling Baldur's Gate 3 "second run" refers to the fact it's not launching on Xbox first. It will be entering its second run when it hits Xbox. Some people, even journos, took this to mean "second rate" for some reason.

- Like others, Xbox is launching a discless Xbox Series X. No evidence (yet) that they plan to stop supporting Bluray. External generic USB Bluray is potentially very easy for Xbox to implement. Works on Windows, etc. The market for discs is shrinking.

- There's no mention of Halo in the leaks cuz nothing from Xbox Games Studios leaked, it was all on the Bethesda side. That doesn't mean Halo is "doomed."

- No real confirmation yet Xbox is working on an Xbox handheld imo... the handheld SKU could refer to supporting OEMs with unique Windows shells. Xbox new head of hardware, Roanne Sones, used to lead PC OEM for Windows. They should make a handheld though.
