Your most anticipated upcoming Xbox RPG in 2025?

The Outer Worlds 2 2 10.53%

The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion remaster/remake 6 31.58%

Fable 8 42.11%

Avowed 3 15.79%

Starfield is either going up against Diablo IV or Breath of the Wild 2, Lol.

It's a Bethesda RPG though, it could easily stand alongside both, but my God, my time.

Oh god I hope not if that happens, I'm gonna have to bring my Switch to work and play Breath of the Wild 2 during my lunch hour and just never eat so I can play Starfield in the evenings lol

BotW is still waiting for my completion, so BotW 2 can wait. But between Diablo IV and Starfield, it's tougher. Probably Starfield first, then Diablo IV so I can get into some of the seasons.

This is what I'd aim for if I was running Xbox and the stars aligned

  • Late January: Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition: Xbox Port.
  • Mid-Late February: Redfall.
  • Late March: Ghostwire Tokyo Xbox Port.
  • Mid April: Minecraft Legends.
  • Early May: Starfield.
  • Mid-Late June: Diablo IV.
  • Mid July: Age of Empires IV: Xbox Port.
  • Early August: Forza Motorsport & Late August: Ara History Untold.

Release per month until August, based on announced stuff. Think a port is fine for January, Redfall is a major release for Feb, Ghostwire port is fine for March since it also has major releases and Wo Long Game Pass on day one which is another major release. Shove Age IV into July and delay Motorsport/Ara together in August since they shouldn't clash.

I honestly don't know how invested I'll get with Diablo IV. The way they're describing the open world is almost identical to Destiny 2. Which after 2000 hours in total, I'm super burnt out on lol.

I'll most likely play the main game and if it's as good as Diablo 2, I'll replay it, but that will probably be it. I won't continue with seasons. I can only afford to play one live service game lol. If I take on 2, then I'll never be able to play any other games lol.

  • February (Mid-Late): Redfall.
  • March: Ghostwire Tokyo Xbox Port.

That's almost a release a month based on announced stuff, I don't know what is scheduled for Holiday, but I do think Motorsport and Ara could be pushed back. Nobody really cares about January, a port is fine, Redfall is a major release for Feb, Ghostwire port is fine for March because Game Pass will have Wo Long which will count as a major release. Shove Age IV Xbox Port into July and delay Motorsport/Ara and stick them together in August since they shouldn't clash with each other.

Not to mention major Game Pass deals throughout those months. January in particular is insane! lol

I played Diablo 3 across 3 platforms and only did it single player and never did the seasons, but I wanted to.  I downloaded Diablo 2 on Xbox but so far have only sampled it.  Just no time to play the way I'd like.  I should have a lot more time by the time Diablo IV releases, so I'd like to attack it from several angles.

Yeah, they don't need a major exclusive release per month when they have stuff like MH Rise in Jan and Wo Long in March, Lol.

Minecraft Legends is different enough that it could launch along side another big release and I don't it would hurt either one.  Same with Ghostwire.

But with all this, there is no way to avoid stepping on someones' feet.

If Blizzard does Diablo 4 seasons in a similar way to Diablo 3, I'll give it a try every once in a while. D3 seasons were nothing more than creating a new character, then re-playing the main game to earn new and increasingly more powerful rewards and these characters were saved. Of course you would make new strategies as there were slight differentiators between seasons. I had like 18 different characters in Diablo 3 by one point lol.

But I have a feeling that's not what they're going for with Diablo 4. I'm pretty sure they're going to go the Destiny 2 route with new story narratives and limited time events. That's something I just wouldn't have the time for lol as fun as they may be.
