I honestly don't know how invested I'll get with Diablo IV, tbh. The way they're describing the open world is almost identical to Destiny 2. Which after 2000 hours in total, I'm super burnt out on lol.

I'll most likely play the main game and if it's as good as Diablo 2, I'll replay it, but that will probably be it. I won't continue with seasons. I can only afford to play one live service game lol. If I take on 2, then I'll never be able to play any other games lol.

I played Diablo 3 across 3 platforms and only did it single player and never did the seasons, but I wanted to.  I downloaded Diablo 2 on Xbox but so far have only sampled it.  Just no time to play the way I'd like.  I should have a lot more time by the time Diablo IV releases, so I'd like to attack it from several angles.

If Blizzard does Diablo 4 seasons in a similar way to Diablo 3, I'll give it a try every once in a while. D3 seasons were nothing more than creating a new character, then re-playing the main game to earn new and increasingly more powerful rewards and these characters were saved. Of course you would make new strategies as there were slight differentiators between seasons. I had like 18 different characters in Diablo 3 by one point lol.

But I have a feeling that's not what they're going for with Diablo 4. I'm pretty sure they're going to go the Destiny 2 route with new story narratives and limited time events. That's something I just wouldn't have the time for lol as fun as they may be.
