The ship swapping is broken as heck. I lost all the stuff in my original Captain's Locker when I first comandeered a new ship. Apparently the same bug happens with putting gear on mannequins/racks.

Hmm, I had that happen, I had stuff in my Captain's Locker on Frontier but got a ship as a reward from a quest, so I made that my new home ship but noticed the Captain's Locker was empty, so I went back to my Frontier ship and noticed the stuff was still in the Captain's Locker on the Frontier ship, took it out and had to manually transfer it over to the new ship.

Is it just completely gone for you in all your ships captain lockers?

I have this quest too which is to investigate a distress signal but it's in a level 60+ system and I'm only level 33 so I've been putting it off, Lol. Last time I tried reaching it, I got attacked by pirates in practically every system along the way, including some powerful ones which fucked me up, haha, I pumped everything into grav and darted out of there.

Damn that sucks, I have some stuff in there but only memory type things, like my deputy badge I've since decided to start moving stuff to the safe I have in my ships bedroom though, which despite owning this ship for days, I only discovered the safe tucked away in the corner today, Lmao.

I discovered why everything reset too, it's a bit annoying but when you ship edit and change something, it automatically shoves everything into cargo hold, including the stuff you have in captain's locker and all the misc stuff laying around the ship, that is why it reset for me the first time and my ship was empty, I ignored the message, Lol.

But it seems like after a while, the stuff respawns in your ship again, in the exact same place it was originally designed to be in...I have to test this some more though because I edited my ship again and it's still empty, Lol.

If that's true about NG+ I'll definitely be keep a backup save, like what's going to happen when DLC launches? Dumb that you would lose everything...
