Forums - Nintendo - Okami Wii sells nearly 50k in four days. Not too shabby.

Haven't seen this elsewhere, so I'm posting this.

Some may say that just over 47k is nothing. Those people need to stop assuming every game needs to open with the same numbers as the blockbuster game. Considering this wasn't even a full week of sales, it's a good opening. If the legs can keep up, Okami will reach gold sales or better.

Not bad sales for a PS2 port. On the other hand people have to stop calling this a AAA title. It was one ... 2006.

yeah baby, fantastic AAA title that is actually having quite good initial sales for a AAA title. Once this AAA title hits in Europe as well, this AAA title will surpass the sales of his smaller brother on the PS2.

AAA

Show me where there's a statute of limitations on a game having the AAA title, and we'll stop calling it that.

Or do you mean it should now be called a classic instead of AAA?

classic sounds nice. AAA title for me always includes some sales success. But I got it you can call it like you want.

Must Okami Wii sell 500 000 to top the PS2 one?

Capcom said that okami sell 270.000 and if wii version sell about 270.000 they are happy

Oh, and it was that this wasn't a hit game at first that kept it from opening huge, not because it was a PS2 port. Wii owners are not turned off by PS2 ports. They're turned off by mediocre PS2 ports. It is a lie that it is a bad thing that this game was on the PS2 first, and I am sick of it.

Nice opening. I never once doubted it would be successful!
