Poor Platinum. They are not that big of a company so a big flop like this is probably very damaging for them:

There’s no way Platinum got royalties from this game. They’re way too good to be putting out crap like that. Bayonetta 3 will definitely change their fortunes. Hopefully they’ve learned their lesson on live services.
They should ideally stay away from live services.
But how did that even happen like that in the first place? Just a horrendous game.
Let's hope their next original IP zhas better luck. They are not a studio that can take many hits.

I think SE demanded the game become GaaS and PG had to redo the game late in development. I put all the blame on SE. They've been piss poor managing a lot of projecsts last few years.
It didn't even last a year. That must have been brutal.
