Forums - Gaming - Unofficially Confirmed - MGS4 coming to 360

This is the news from Super Play "At the end of 2007, one of the biggest titles to be released for any of the current generation consoles is Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. As the follow up to the blockbuster smash hit PS2 title Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, it will problably sell extremely well and be played by many PS3 fans. However, sole owners of Wii and Xbox 360 would have to do without it. Fortunately, Konami isn´t completely blind to the fact that more gamers deserve to play this epic title, and it is now confirmed that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for the Xbox 360 will launch a year later in November 2008. It will come with new content additions including VR missions and other bonus gameplay like Snake Tales, which lets you go on more objective-based missions -- some quite lengthy. So, there's no question that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for the Xbox 360 comes packed with more content than the original PS3-version. Seemingly, the Xbox 360 Metal Gear would have been the one to wait for, but Konami respond by releasing the slightly beefed up Metal Gear Solid 4 for PS3 as well." And here it is the news from wich it has bee copied and paste from years ago http://insider.ign.com/teasers/388/388211.html March 5, 2003 - At the end of 2001, one of the biggest titles to be released for any of the current generation consoles was Metal Gear Solid 2. As the follow up to the blockbuster smash hit PSX title Metal Gear Solid, it went on to sell extremely well and be played by many PS2 fans. However, sole owners of GameCube and Xbox would have to do without it. Fortunately, Konami wasn't completely blind to the fact that more gamers deserved to play the epic title, and it released Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance for the Xbox a year later in November 2002. This came with new content additions including VR missions and other bonus gameplay like Snake Tales, which lets you go on more objective-based missions -- some quite lengthy. So, there's no question that Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance comes packed with more content than the original MGS2 on PS2. Seemingly, the Xbox Metal Gear would have been the one to buy, but Konami responded quickly by releasing the slightly beefed up So there you have it .....this is as fake as it gets .

Hey, I was reading about this on a few forums and I got linked to the Xbox forums (http://forums.xbox.com/12756627/ShowPost.aspx).

Look at what IndianHustler points out towards the bottom of the page. Then come back here and tell me whether or not that article has any credibility. The only confirmation that should be taken seriously is from Kojima's mouth.

hey i read it... he makes a good point

 #1 reason MGS4 is PS3 exclusive  xbox is too loud for snake to sneak around
PSNTAG= Xander732

still, the fact that there has been discussion about this gives it enough credit to not be a ps3 exclusive, no, no ps3 game at all in fact

 That's just wrong.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Wow, any little rumour regarding MGS4 and you guys jump on the bandwagon.

Yes, let's believe what the Xbox forums has to say; surely they aren't biased. Hell, they are basing their information from an independent Swedish magazine, afterall, the Swedes know how to get to the low-down of things, especially in video-gaming.

Kojima has said countless times that he needs more space for MGS4. He's pressing Sony for the 50GB disk. And here these guys say that the 360 version is getting exclusive content, and yet no one cried "foul."

And they had stated this: http://www.gamepro.com/news.cfm?article_id=112509 Although Payton did not tip his hand by revealing whether or not MGS 4 would be coming to the Xbox 360, the Kojima Productions rep did state that, even if the team announced a 360 version, the PS3 version wouldn't be affected in the slightest. "I can tell you honestly at this point, we have not changed the game in any form with the idea of 'oh, we got to do this on 360,'" Payton states 14:40 into the podcast. "Put aside whether or not we're developing for 360 or not, the game is built on the PS3 hardware, as you guys have known for the past two years or so." In essence, Konami ensures that the Xbox 360's console limitations in processing power and disc space will not compromise the final product on the PS3, and development resources would not be split between consoles, meaning that the PS3 version would be able to preserve its exclusive release date. It seems like it will simply be a timed exclusive. The fact that they would have to say that raises a few eyebrows.

why would you be suprised about exclusive content? If it comes out a year afterward they are going to want to give people who bought the PS3 version a reason to buy it again. I know there are many people who bought the PS2 version of RE4 who also bought the GC version when it came out.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

Did you read my post ?

This isnt even a "news " ,this is only a fake made with "copy and paste " on the news of MGS2 SUbstance 4 years ago ....

its funny how everyone jumped on this... all the fanboys are waiting on final fantasy and MGS4 to go to the 360... i hate using the word fanboy but.. FanBoys Suck ASS no matter what system... If you like the ps3's game lineup and power get a Ps3... if you like the 360's power and online service get one then... if you like how the wii focuses on gameplay get one... but dont sit at home searchin every little website.. tryin to discourage people from buying certain consoles... Pathetic typical fanboys.. Im a proud Ps3 and (sadly Former) 360 owner and proud of it
