I guess it's actually 30% slower on consoles. Well that explains why the difference looked so large.

Yeah, it'd have to be though, FPS with 99% of all gamepads am fail as I see it. Maybe its just that one gets so spoiled playing FPS' on the PC (to be fair though, I can't think of any other genre where the keyboard/mouse prevails, save perhaps for RTS).

Point & Click Adventures.

It works best for FPS, RTS, P&C, and most RPGs (because of keybinding options).  It doesn't work as well for action adventure, racing, and sports stuff, but that's why I have a 360 controller.  Plugs right into the USB port on my PC and I'm good to go.

I find FPSes to be nearly unplayable with a gamepad.  The controls are fun on the Wii, but I have yet to see a good game really fully utilize the controls, and even at their best they aren't as accurate as Mouse and Keyboard.  Metroid Prime 3 is great, but it's more like Zelda than Call of Duty.  Medal of Honor Heroes 2 had great controls, but the rest of the game was just so awful it wasn't worth it.
