It's still not completely confirmed that Michael Jackson wrote anything for Sonic 3. If he did, he was uncredited. He does not own the copyrights, and if his estate wanted to sue for them, it would be an uphill battle.
All I want is in the 6th gen ports of the game like Gamecube and PS2. Just the modern port not only removed music but all the real locations like KFC, Pizza Hut, Tower Records etc. Best way to play them is sadly emulation versions of the original releases. Same with Jet Set Radio.
It's wierd to me Sonic 3 of all Sonic games has a music issue when the entire 16-bit series has stolen music.
