In the past 30 years or so, some groups have committed most or all of the events that the majority of public would call terrorism.  It should be no small wonder that this leads to people giving a knee-jerk reaction to news events and casting suspicions upon said groups.  So, not sorry.

So it's okay to assume everyone who isn't white is a Muslim or an immigrant? Okay to assume every American shooter is trans? Then on top of that, it's okay to assume every murderer is a Muslim/Immigrant/Trans? With zero facts? We just assume things are true nowadays with zero facts, you're saying that's okay? That's how the world should operate?

Ok, so a quite relevant event happened today, because there was a Ukrainian who decided to remove himself from the war and atrocities, only to be killed only hours ago by a terrorist.  This terrorist had an ISIS flag on his truck and IED's fired at cops and 15 people in total were killed.  30 wounded.   Here is a picture of this outstanding individual.

Now, you're talking about assumptions and whatnot.  It is a fact that Muhammad spread Islam by the sword, and had a 10 year old wife (Aisha).  Those are historical facts. But it would be wrong to say that all Muslims are either terrorists (such as what happened today by a muslim) or warlike pedophiles who want to hurt others.

If you want a link to the latest horrible news of terrorism, which is yet another event that just so happed to be caused by a muslim, when they are not all terrorists, you can click here:

I'm sick of this terrorism. 15 people were sent upwards to see Jesus before their time. Mothers, Fathers, Brothers, Sisters. This guy hated the revelry, alchohol, gays, and everything else that is on Bourbon Street.

As a boy, i remember when my father took my siblings and I on a trip to new Orleans, and we walked along Bourbon Street.  There were a ton of bars, both gay and straight.  People had what the New Orleans folks called "go cups" where they serve alchohol in a paper cup which you are actually legally allowed to walk around with on Bourbon street.  And i remember something else that was amusing.  This distinguished gentleman had a plastic "organ" which was quite oversized and walked around (with it strapped on the outside of his jeans) as if this was normal lol.  I found it amusing, my little sister was freaking out, and the gentleman in question was laughing to himself because he could get this kind of reaction.

And i hope that this terrorist is burning in hell.

What do you think about that, Ryuu?

Look, I like both of you guys: Ryuu and Shave. I would like us to focus on the war in Ukraine (which is what this thread is about) and not about terrorism in the USA, or any country on planet Earth for that matter.............................................. Just my 2 cents.

Happy New Year ! to the VGC forum members !!!

ok, well after Ryuu's response i'll stop posting about this and other terrorism issues and make a new thread if need be.  I definitely understand that the Ukraine stuff is very important and deserves the attention of this thread, not wanting to derail anything.  I understand and respect that.

And i'm not going to criticize Ryuu here, because it would derail the thread unnecessarily.  He wants this forum to be a community for gamers, gaymers, of all religions and creeds.

I honestly get on my soapbox sometimes, and it's difficult to get away from that frame of mind when i feel inspired.

LOL. Sounds to me that "This distinguished gentleman had a plastic "organ" which was quite oversized and walked around as if this was normal lol.

Sounds to me that this guy had an oversized "Go cup". Smart move on his part. LOL.

yeah, just giving a personal anecdote on how crazy Bourbon street is.  And i think that the terrorist hated a place like this that was 180 degrees away from what the more extreme muslims beleived, and this guy was so angry over that he decided to do something horrible.

Shave, the funniest thing is that I have wanted to go to NOLA for years now, same as wanting to go to LV.

Still, at my age, I haven't been to either city. But, both are still on my bucket list.  Maybe someday I'll get to see both. Fingers crossed.
