Curious if HTS say "Okay, you can keep your naval bases but only if you hand over Assad" and if Putin would go for that, I think he would, Lol. Putin has no true allies and Assad has outlived his usefulness and HTS will probably want to avoid picking a fight with another country right now so it would be a "fair" deal with pros and cons on both sides, seeing Assad face justice would be nice, but Russia retaining their naval bases to continue causing atrocities in Africa would suck although they're still going to be able to achieve that, just at much greater difficulty.
