Russians Claim That Ukraine is Using New Large Swiss Kamikaze Drones
Share

The defenders of Ukraine use a wide variety of different drones. In fact, so many that not all of them are publicly acknowledged. For example, recently Russian soldiers claimed that Ukrainians have started attacking them with large Destinus LORD drones.

Give me a f'cking break. Russia is trying to complain that Ukraine is using a neutral country's weapons...... while Russia is ignoring the human rights abuses and has also shown in many cases bad military ethics.

But they complain about Ukraine using a swiss nation's drones? Fvck you Russia, you're getting exactly what you deserve. You'll reach a million casualties before this war is over, and it will be your fault.

The number of safety incidents recorded by Russian airlines in 2024 has already reached a record high

Sanctions are biting Russia in the ass with regards to its air transportation.  Also, fewer flight hours means that the pilots won't be quite as capable as they could be.  The industry in Russia is becoming very poor.

Trump urges ‘weakened’ Russia to announce immediate ceasefire in Ukraine and begin peace talks

I think that trump realizes that Russia can't have enough endurance to last as long as it needs to. At least he's not spewing out more pro-russian rhetoric. So, i can somewhat get behind this. But i still don't want Ukraine to give Russia any territory whatsoever. So, keep pushing Ukraine. You can do this, and God is on your side.

Things are slowing down, probably because it is winter in Ukraine.

Israel strikes Syria’s Latakia: Report

An Israeli strike has targeted an air defence installation near Syria’s Mediterranean Latakia port, Reuters reports, quoting unnamed Syrian security sources.

The Israeli army has carried out more than 100 strikes on Syrian territory since the fall of the al-Assad regime, including on its capital, Damascus.

Large wave of Israeli strikes against Syrian air bases: Report

We’ve been replaying reports from the ground that air strikes had targeted bases near Damascus, Syria. Now, Reuters news agency, citing two unnamed Syrian security sources, says Israeli planes bombed at least three major Syrian army air bases that housed dozens of helicopters and jets.

This is the biggest such wave of strikes on air bases since Bashar al-Assad was toppled, the security sources told Reuters. Qamishli air base in northeast Syria, Shinshar base in the countryside of Homs and Aqaba airport southwest of the capital Damascus were all hit, the sources said.

Israel has also launched several strikes on a research centre on the outskirts of Damascus and a centre for electronic warfare near the Sayeda Zainab area of the capital.

Israel has just told the United Nations that it is involved in “limited” actions in Syria after the fall of al-Assad. Since yesterday, Israel has taken over a buffer zone next to its occupied land in the Golan Heights and carried out dozens of strikes against Syrian territory.

Israeli strikes in Syria ‘limited and temporary’: UN ambassador

Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations told the UN Security Council that deployments of Israeli troops into Syrian-controlled areas of the occupied Golan Heights were “limited and temporary measures”.

“I addressed the Security Council and clarified that in response to the developing security threat on the Syrian-Israeli border and the danger it poses to our citizens, we have taken limited and temporary measures,” the ambassador, Danny Danon, wrote on X.

“I emphasised that the State of Israel does not intervene in the conflict between the rebels in Syria. Our actions focus solely on maintaining our security and we are committed to the framework of the Separation of Forces Agreement signed in 1974 between Syria and Israel.”

Israeli forces have reportedly also bombed weapons depots in southern Syria and in the capital Damascus.

What are Israel’s plans in Syria and claims by far-right ministers to Damascus?

As the Assad government falls, Israel seizes more territory in Syria’s Golan Heights. That move tears up a 50-year-old agreement. But Israeli far-right ministers say their country’s borders should extend further – to Damascus.

So what are Israel’s plans in Syria?

Israel’s Golan Heights seizure ‘sabotage’ to Syria security: Saudi officials

Saudi Arabia’s ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned Israel’s land grab in the Syrian-controlled areas of the occupied Golan Heights.

In a statement posted on X, Saudi officials wrote that “the attacks carried out by the Israeli occupation government through seizing the buffer zone in the Golan Heights, and the targeting of Syrian territories by the Israeli occupation forces, confirm Israel’s continued violation of the rules of international law, and its determination to sabotage Syria’s chances of restoring its security, stability, and territorial integrity.”

A UN-monitored buffer zone separates Israeli-occupied territory from the remaining part that is still under Syria’s control. In 1981, Israel formally declared its annexation of the Golan Heights, but the United States is the only country that has recognized it, in 2019, under former President Donald Trump.

Personally, I will probably cut back on Syria stuff in here now, I was heavily focused on it because the Russian connection but outside of that it becomes more off-topic and I don't want to drown out Ukraine specific discussion, I was thinking though that maybe it could be used to boost some activity towards your thread @SvennoJ as Israel is involved now and it's more around the Middle-East but it's just a suggestion, I think I may make a few last mega posts but then moving forward try to stick to posting only when it relates specifically to Russia though I'm debating whether to dump my posts here or in the Israel-Hamas thread, what are you thoughts on treating that thread more as a Middle-East overall thread?

I was also thinking as well because this Russia-Ukraine thread gets enough discussion related to Ukraine-Russia alone but the Israel-Hamas thread is unfortunately lower on the discussion side so opening it up to other events in the same region could boost some more activity towards it, plus I've a feeling Israel is going to be more involved in Syria than Russia moving forward but if you want that thread to stay specific to Israel-Gaza then that's understandable too.

The images of these prisons, how do people like Tulsi sleep at night, fuck all of Assad's defenders across the years and this same fucking idiot blames NATO/Ukraine for Russia's invasion too, the same idiots always fall into the same traps and when the atrocities are revealed they go quiet and pretend like they never did that or they will just label it as fake news.

I was just about to ask you :)

No problem, I'll post the Syria stuff there as indeed Israel is fucking with Syria now. It's been about Lebanon, Yemen, Iran, Iraq as well, it's pretty much a regional war without officially calling it one.

Hopefully Russia ditching Syria doesn't mean they'll ramp up their attacks on Ukraine, but probably will :( Hopefully Russia pissed off Iran by abandoning Assad and will get less 'favors' from Iran for drones etc.
