i'm starting to like JR less now.  He's deserving all of the bad press that he's getting.  I guess he feels like his viewers aren't politically conscious and will let him have his opinion.  That's fine but a lot of people are having issues with these horrible opinions.

I associate Joe Rogan with men who are aged 20 to 34 (or so), are shorter in height, dress like they're 13, are into sports but never play them, always look in a constant state of nervous and mild contentment, have tons of weights and MMA gear and never use them, hang out in homosocial groups, and are usually the guy at the party without a date. Not that there's anything wrong with fitting that description, but (somehow) almost all these Joe Rogan fans I come across in the wild fit that description.

You know the sort I mean:

Good point, perhaps this will be a good time to outgrow JR

How do those Bluesky posts look to everyone else and are they displaying correctly on both desktop and mobile? They are for me but just making sure. I've also just noticed a downside of the embedding is that videos can't be played on the site, that's a bit tedious, I wonder if it's something to do with how we're embedding the code.

They look fine for me, but I'm a logged-in user. Looks fine in private browsing as well though, so perhaps they're fine.

Yeah they look great to me! It's just the video posts, they're embedding but the video is like an image still, Lol.

Hopefully one day we can upgrade to having a BlueSky icon like we have for Twitter and it can be as simple as using the URL instead of the embed code! It's just that Bandorr didn't put that functionality in so he's unsure whether it was made by Talon or more like a plugin for the editor we're using so we went for the embed code for now.

Just noticed though, some accounts can seemingly disable being able to get the embed code from their posts...

If you look at: NOELREPORTS — Bluesky

Click the 3 dots and it has the embed post option.

But like here: Parris — Bluesky

Seems like it has been disabled? It doesn't exist!

BlueSky has a lot of user features though so users have a lot of control, I've already seen that people can also disable their posts from appearing in 3rd party sites in the same way that Youtube sometimes has that "This video can't be displayed on 3rd party sites, please open the video in Youtube" type restrictions. So that may provide a little complication.

The blueSky embeds work a lot better than Twitter. No minutes delay for the whole page to load.
But indeed the videos just show a picture with a big white play button that opens up a new window when clicked.

On the plus side, at least Bluesky doesn't constantly tell you to sign in.
