Interesting. Turns out that historically Sudzka has been part of Kiev Governate and in the 1897 census the population was a majority of ethnic Ukrainians. Seems a case to be made that the town is historically Ukrainian and should be returned to Kyiv’s rule. Or that’s how Russia’s logic goes, no?

This is the (relatively) funny bit in context.

If you listed all European countries by date of when they were last invaded, most would be dated as sometime during WW2 (ie France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Norway etc). A few would be the 90s. Ukraine was previously the only one that would show a date after 2010, but Russia can now be added to that small group.
