Having been playing Metro Exodus lately and its ironic how some of the views expressed by Russia's current political leadership are expressed in that game, especially considering the game is made by a Ukrainian developer, is based on a book written by a Russian dissident and was released 3 years before this war began.
Major General Harri Ohra-Aho on Russia's decision to move ballistic missiles closer to the Finnish border
— Tomi 🇺🇦🇫🇮 (@TallbarFIN) April 24, 2024
"Of course, it's none of my business, but operationally it seems absurd to bring missile systems with such a long range closer to our border, they make easy targets for us" pic.twitter.com/HmcU1RjlD4
LOL. RIGHT?!
People who bring up the dumb argument of "NATO IS ON RUSSIA'S BORDERS! AMERICA WANTS TO BRING NUKES TO RUSSIA'S BORDER!" seems to think that nuclear capable missiles only have a range of 100km or some shit and as this Finnish Major General rightfully points out, the closer they are to the border, the easier targets they are.
Last edited by Ryuu96 - on 25 April 2024Ukraine is set to increase long-range attacks inside Russia as an influx of western military aid aims to help Kyiv shape the war “in much stronger ways”, head of the UK military, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, told @FT’s @JP_Rathbone. https://t.co/ZdjThqytMO

“As Ukraine gains more capabilities for the long-range fight . . . its ability to continue deep operations will [increasingly] become a feature” of the war, Radakin said, adding: “they definitely have an effect”.
🤔🤔🤔
Many are interpreting this as UK saying they're okay with Ukraine striking inside of Russia, some are interpreting it as UK saying Ukraine can use Storm Shadow inside of Russia. I'm not sure I read it that way unless I'm missing some added context, Sky News Editor is reporting it that way though.
UK military chief @AdmTonyRadakin_ appears to support the use by Ukraine of long-range UK/western missiles to strike deep inside Russia. US has only sanctioned use of its weapons inside sovereign Ukrainian territory.

Important interview by @JP_Rathbone https://t.co/jCNhSSlI7g
To me it could as easily be read as him saying Ukraine will develop their own capabilities and deep operations doesn't necessarily mean Russia but occupied Ukraine territory.
Guess we'll wait and see if a Storm Shadow ends up in Russia, Lol.
UK has often made the first move and I want them to here but I'm not expecting it.
