Forums - Politics Discussion - Russia and Ukraine flashpoint

It has been wild to see Moscow Mitch turn into one of Ukraine's hardest supporters.

Republicans* Not Congress.

  • "I'll continue to hold the commander in chief to account," he said. "At the same time, I will not mince words when members of my own party take the responsibilities of American leadership lightly."

I am not convinced. Neither will be Russia.

Well then, get ready for the sights of tens of thousands of dead Russian soldiers, that will convince you both.

Um... no?

The death tally of Russian soldiers is above 300,000 already and none of this has bothered Russia. Tens of thousands more dead on its own is not going to change anything.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV will outsell Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was wrong.

Nobody knows what the real numbers are, but once this new aid starts to flow, you will see those numbers grow hugely than where they have been since Day 1.

All you have to do is pay attention to Russia's responses in the coming days and weeks.

An easy way to hurt Russia a lot would be to allow Ukraine to fire onto Russia, using Storm Shadow, ATACMS, HIMARs, etc. Fire at those places the planes are taking off from, where the drones are being sent from, where the missiles are being lobbed at Kharkiv from. Until that restriction is lifted, Kharkiv will slowly be turned into a wasteland because Ukraine has to sit and take blows with little means to fire back.

At some point in this war, the West will need relook at this decision, you can't have Ukrainian cities right on the ass of Russia's border just sitting there being slammed by missiles while Ukraine can't fire back because even if Ukraine pushes Russia out, they'll just continue lobbing missiles at Ukraine and Ukraine will either have to destroy them with western weapons or develop their own means.

We need supplies of practically everything of course but we also need to remove some of these restrictions if we want Ukraine to win faster.

I am not getting my hopes up.

Basically looks like it will pass with a clear majority.

But queue the useless hours of debate.
