Ukraine Fires ATACMS Missile at Russian Forces for the First Time - WSJ

Within days, one ATACMS strike destroys multiple Russian helicopters.

Storm Shadow destroys a submarine. Ukraine knows how to use our weapons effectively. Give them more.

Russia getting fucked by the oldest version of ATACMS missiles, made in 1996.

  • M39 (ATACMS Block I) missile with inertial guidance. It carries 950 M74 Anti-personnel and Anti‑materiel (APAM) bomblets. Range: 25–165 kilometres (16–103 mi). 1,650 M39 were produced between 1990 and 1997, when production ceased in favor of the M39A1. During Operation Desert Storm 32 M39 were fired at Iraqi targets and during Operation Iraqi Freedom a further 379 were fired.[22][23] The remaining M39 missiles are being updated to M57E1 missiles.[24][25] This is the only variant that can be fired by all M270 and M142 launcher variants.

It is lower range (165km vs 300km) than more recent variants and apparently less precise but more powerful than the 300km variant.

A new chapter of this war has (un)officially begun. No matter how many times the occupied territories are included in the "Constitution of #Russia" to "preserve the legacy" under the risk of palace coups, #Moscow will eventually have to recognize the conditions on the ground. There are no more safe places for Russian troops within the... internationally recognized borders of #Ukraine. This means that there is no possibility of retaining the #South, #Crimea, and the Black Sea Fleet in the medium term. The countdown has already begun. The oil and gas needle is still delaying the end. But it has become inevitable a long time ago.

He's right, Ukraine proves themselves to us time and time again and they do it with the oldest variants, the oldest variant of ATACMS, the lowest range version of Storm Shadow/SCALP, without the most recent variants of Leopard 2's, Abrams, Challenger 2's, with their best armour and other tech stripped from them. Imagine what Ukraine could do with the absolute most modern of equipment.

Just saying...Taurus could end Kerch Bridge.

Not sure what's more idiotic. How Russia places their jets, helicopters and boats always where Ukraine can reach them or those guys who randomly film it instead of maybe leaving the place in case some more missiles will be on the way^^
