With all the Nazi comparisons being thrown around, the war keeps getting compared to WW2 but it feels more and more like WW1, what with the attritional warfare and now potential a re-run of 1917 in Russia - I’m deliberately not using the word ‘revolution’ though as it hardly feels like it would be one.

If this is indeed real, I guess the hope is that Russia don't know his specific location as they could quickly take him out with a missile - they surely maintain control all of the fancy hardware.

We want wagner & the Russian army to do as much damage to each other as possible & that requires Prigozhin to stay alive.

Two credible Russian telegram channels report that the the "Citadel Protocol" has been implemented in Moscow and in Rostov tonight. The Citadel protocol entails full mobilization of the police and taking charge/guarding of the key communication and silovik/law enforcement centers

Rostov is important here as it's a city where Shoygu arrived earlier to make some "preparations" for the "coup", and where Prigozhin claimed Shoygu hid 2,000 Russian corpses to hide casualties. This is also where Russian Army allegedly shelled the Wagner units.
