I'm sure this footage is handpicked and all but it's encouraging to see just how high Ukrainian fighter morale seems to be. No wonder they're pushing back the tide.

After the latest Prigozhin outbursts, I think people should now fathom why Moscow has been reluctant to fully arm his men, or even send any ammunition at all...

And we should be thankful, this guy is a complete lunatic and should not be in any position of rulership.

That’s a pretty good take and one I hadn’t considered. I know it can be lazy to keep comparing this to the WW2 era, but it immediately made me think of Hitler’s concerns over Ernst Rohm and the resulting Night of Long Knives.

Eh...They're all lunatics, I'm not sure it factors much into the decision to screw over Prigozhin, it's just typical Russian backstabbing. Medvedev is absolutely fucking insane and he's Deputy Chairman of the Security Council. Prigozhin is literally nicknamed "Putin's Chef" and they've been close allies for years now, Prigozhin/Wagner are Putin's little secret who do the dirty work for him that Russian MoD can't be caught doing.

Putin no doubt already knows how insane Prigozhin is but he has worked with him for years now, man literally had Nazi tattoos, Lmao. On the other side there is Shoigu who has been a trusted advisor to Putin for most his Presidency, Shoigu who has survived every single Putin purge so there must be something in Shoigu that Putin sees and likes...I can't say what cause the Russian army looks fucking pathetic.

Sometimes I wonder if it's just typical Putin shit of pitting two people against each other and seeing who comes out the winner, or maybe it's just Shoigu vs Prigozhin and Putin isn't involved in it, Prigozhin is always very careful to not directly call out Putin but the Russian MoD (Shoigu/Gerasimov) and Putin somehow avoids all the blame (fear? friendship? Idk).

I think Shoigu doesn't want Prigozhin doing well because he doesn't want to share the success with a private mercenary company, kind of embarrassing for the Russian MoD. It would then elevate Prigozhin in standing and decrease Shoigu's. It's all about power, Imho. They're all insane but none of them want to lose their power.

Another possibility is that it's not actual intentional and simply that Russia does not have the supplies or can't afford to supply Wagner or maybe Wagner is being supplied but Prigozhin can see his loss coming and so he's spinning it so he doesn't get any of the blame when Russia inevitably collapses and puts all the blame on Shoigu/Gerasimov.

Idk! But I am thankful because whatever the reason, if they are actually fighting each other or can't supply Wagner, it's helping Ukraine!

Will say though as it currently stands, Putin looking a bit like Ted Cruz to Prigozhin's Donald Trump, how much can this man shit talk the Russian MoD before eating a bullet? Does Putin even care? People in the past have been killed for daring to criticise Russia. I'm wondering how Prigozhin isn't dead yet, Lol.

And I'll say again, I don't think Prigozhin has any chance at Presidency of Russia and I've had Russians tell me that too. Way I see it, Prigozhin doesn't have the support of the Russian MoD, Gerasimov, Shoigu, Medvedev, FSB or even Russian Local Leaders. His army isn't loyal to him, they're loyal to money.

Maybe he'll (Prigozhin) defect.

Well, I know this will be unpopular here, but if I was Ukraine, I would absolutely be making overtures to him behind the scenes.  Now he can't be judt let free, he would be under house arrest for the rest of his life essentially and many of his men would still wind up in prison.  But he must see by now, he must know that Putin and his generals are sending him and his men to their graves.  Those above him aren't going to tolerate someone as openly ambitious and as much of a loose cannon as him.  Most or all of them will die and if he survives, he will be blamed for the failures and struggles on the eastern front.  His career in Russia, his ambitions are already over, anyone can see it from a mile away.

So why not defect and surrender a large part of your forces?  A life of house arrest is better than getting blamed in Russia and then falling out of a high window somewhere.  And I know we would all prefer to dee him dead or tried for war crimes and probably executed, I know imagining him living out his days under house arrest essentially is hardly what most want.  But the impact that could have, not just on the battlefield but on the morale of the Russian army would be massive.
