Norway Intends to Develop and Manufacture Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) in Ukraine.

Source: Norwegian Defence Ministry on X (Twitter), as reported by European Pravda

Details: The ministry wrote that Norway has allocated about 6.7 billion Norwegian kroner (approximately €580 million) to support the maritime coalition it leads jointly with the United Kingdom.

Quote from Norwegian Defence Minister Tore O. Sandvik: "Parts of this funding will be used to develop and produce uncrewed maritime vessels using KDA technology, with production based in Ukraine."

It is also reported that the Norwegian defence company Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (KDA) has already signed an agreement with a Ukrainian partner on the joint development and manufacture of surface drones in Ukraine using Norwegian technology and expertise.

EU is totally useless. 18th sanction package blocked, they won't lower the price cap on oil because of America and I guarantee they will end up reversing their ban on Russian oil too. I'm sorry, I have absolutely zero faith in Europe right now, it is all talk and zero action. The EU isn't capable of leading anything, it needs serious reform. Why did Ukraine have to be stuck with so many pathetic allies.

It's in their constitution, I don't know why you would have expected more from EU. Which are far more cowardly than US.

Don't really want to make this into a competition but half of Europe is far more brave than the current United States who won't even issue new sanctions, let alone weapon packages, it is just that the half of Europe which is brave is held back by the half of Europe that is useless and in the case of EU, it's not even half, it's 2 countries which hold back the entire bloc which is why it needs serious reform, it's absolutely ridiculous it isn't just a simple majority and whoever came up with the idea that one or two countries can hold back 20-30 was a moron.

Might be a moron, but a lot of EU countries will cling to their veto. Some braver countries are also against significantly upping their defences and finally doing their fair share. Among them are Belgium and Spain. Especially the former is a very rich European country.

Now some countries in the east are holding back the west, but that same West (Germany in particular) will most likely stop to throwing the Israel trade agreement in the shredder. All the countries in the EU have a country first EU second mentality, that's why everything goes so painfully slow.

When I said braver countries, Belgium and definitely not Spain, weren't the two countries on my mind.

They are not the braver countries, but have not used their veto against Ukraine. Spain is also calling for putting the Israel trade deal in the shredder and ban all EU weapon exports to Israel. Which could be blocked by Poland or any other country that wants Israel military stuff. Whether a country is one side or the other of a said issue totally depends on the issue.

I agree with putting the Israel trade deal in the shredder and banning all EU weapon exports to Israel but individual countries can choose to not export weapons to Israel too. But I was talking about the threat of Russia and if Poland's concern is that Israel might not send Poland military equipment then you can understand their concern a little considering they're the frontline country to any possible Russian attack and basically the country that will hold up Europe's whole eastern front.

It's why Poland is reluctant to send Polish troops to Ukraine too in any future ceasefire deal, it should be countries further West who aren't even close to Russia, it's Poland that Russia would have to slaughter first to get to the rest of Europe, so you can understand their positions a little better and Poland has done more than enough to help Ukraine already, not to say they can't do more but they've done a lot.

And they've pulled their weight more than most countries, despite the fact that Poland and Ukraine do not have a good history between each other, Poland doesn't help Ukraine because they're best friends, far from it, they just understand how much of a threat Russia is, but Poland and Ukraine have a lot of bad blood between each other that needs sorting out.
