🫡🇺🇦General Drapatiy: I had a long conversation with the President. I reported everything that is currently known about the tragedy at the training ground.

‼️ I received a task from the President. I remain in the ranks. On the front line. Where I can do the most.

⚡️ Drapatyi was appointed Commander of the Joint Forces so that he could deal with the front 100%, — Zelensky.

❗️Another person will deal with the Ground Forces system.

🦅 "Magyar" appointed Commander of Unmanned Systems Forces.

We must change the culture within the army. The culture of the commanders' attitude towards their fighters, towards the performance of duties, towards the value of every life of a Ukrainian soldier who took up arms to defend Ukraine.

Ukrainian Land Forces Commander Resigns After Russian Attack That Killed 12 Soldiers on Training Ground

Honestly...It was horrible that it happened but I'm not even sure it was his fault, the speed at which he resigned was commendable and he immediately accepted the blame before an investigation was even started, I don't know if he is to blame or not, but he immediately took accountability, I think Zelenskyy is making the right choice here in refusing a full resignation and instead reassigning him.

Apparently the soldiers weren't even in the open, they were in shelters, I don't know...I'm not sure I can blame him if they were just at a training camp in shelters, where else are they meant to be trained? He seems like the type of soldier needed, one that genuinely cares for his soldiers, one that immediately accepts accountability, no arrogance or stubbornness and willing to change for the better.

"An army where no one is held responsible for losses dies from within."

"This is a conscious step dictated by my personal sense of responsibility for the tragedy at the 239th training ground, which resulted in the deaths of our soldiers," he wrote. We will not win this war if we do not build an army where honor is not a word, but an action. Where responsibility is not a punishment, but the basis of trust. Where every commander is responsible every day — for an order, for a decision, for a person."

"I really hope his report is not accepted. Drapatiy is now taking responsibility for the yuppies who don't follow orders and do shit."

There will be cheering in the ranks by many Ukrainians.

The much respected, even loved, Myhailo Drapatyi has had his resignation rejected by President Zelenskyi.

He tendered his resignation after a training ground in Dnipropetrovsk region was hit with 12 soldiers dying.

Good on Zelenskyy for rejecting his resignation in this case.

One more promotion which many of you will be interested in...

Charismatic 'drone-meister' with the call sign "Magyar" [Robert Brovdi] has been made Commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces.

His 'Birds of Magyar' unit achieved incredible success.

Ukraine’s legendary ‘Birds of Magyar’ is one of the most successful drone units of all time. Under its charismatic commander Robert Brovdi, callsign Magyar ( ‘Madyar’ in Ukrainian, meaning Hungarian), the unit has grown in three years from a platoon into a regiment, destroying vast numbers of Russian forces each month. This rate of growth is extraordinary in a military unit and looks more like a tech start up --and maybe that is a better description of what Birds of Magyar really is.

The unit has become famous on the internet, and compilation videos of drone strikes go viral, aided by Brovdi’s trademark commentaries with catchphrases ‘Jagga jagga!’ and ‘Bada-boom!’ highlighting effective attacks.

But Magyar’s success is not about presentation. The numbers show this one unit is contributing a significant fraction of Ukraine’s combat power. Magyar has achieved this by using the skills of a tech entrepreneur in a military context.

Ukraine’s Elite Drone Unit Is A Lethal, Fast Growing Tech Start Up

Radio Liberty has published "before and after" satellite images of the Russian “Belaya” airbase in the Irkutsk region, which was attacked by Ukrainian drones.

At least 11 strategic bombers were destroyed there: 7 Tu-95s and 4 Tu-22M3s. In addition, an An-12 transport aircraft was damaged.

🇺🇸 The White House says no new sanctions on Russia will happen without Trump’s sign-off. Spox Karoline Leavitt stressed that sanctions remain “a tool” and credited Trump’s “persistence” for bringing Ukraine and Russia to direct talks.

I'm unconvinced that Senate will ever vote on this bill because they know Trump won't sign it and Senate Republicans don't want to create a public narrative of them doing something their king doesn't want, they are terrified of turning it into a "Senate Republicans vs Trump" situation, so they will keep talking big and promising big scary sanctions (like Trump) so it's on public record and in the future they'll say "I wanted to be tough on Russia!" but won't actually put the bill forth because they *must* be aligned with everything TACO does.

Imagine the scenario when 80 Senators vote on a bill and Trump refuses to sign it, that would put Senate Republicans in a position where they would have to work with Democrats to force a bill through and go around Trump, or they will need to pressure Trump into signing it. I don't think either of these scenarios are likely, they won't ever publicly disagree with their king.

Prove me wrong you fucking cowards.

They have done more than many politicians would just by authoring the bill and bringing it forth.  That's a big first step, and quietly telling imho. It says that they have to deal with trump and aren't always pleased with that reality.
