Forums - Politics - Russia and Ukraine flashpoint

The USA under Trump has escalated the war in Ukraine during the past few months because of how weak and pathetic the USA now is.

Ukraine's well-coordinated drone attack is the latest example of a devastating strike on Russia's army that will result in de-escalation, but will the collective West learn its lesson now when they weren't willing to understand it before? Probably not.

Ukraine will continue to fight when their only alternative is capitulation.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV will outsell Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was wrong.

❗️🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia, the largest OPEC oil producer, which has aimed to maintain high oil prices in recent years, has changed its strategy, — Bloomberg

❌ This is causing discontent in Russia, since price of its oil is already almost 40% lower than that included in the budget, but Moscow can do nothing.

Having stopped negotiating with partners, Saudi Arabia has switched to the language of ultimatums and for the third time in two months has provided a significant increase in production quotas.

What are you talking about? Jabbar (the New Orleans truck attacker) was born in Texas. He served in the US Military for over a decade as well. The dude has fuck all to do with the UK, Lol. That link only points out that he killed a British Citizen. Should I now say "Sort out your insane American citizens because they're killing Brits"?!?! FFS.

He did that because he was inspired by a religion which was born from violence. You do understand that muhammad spread Islam by an army, right? Then they screamed a-lalalala like in the movies and swept down. Hundreds of years later, a few pine for these bloodthirsty days of old and wish for more violence. They all need to chill.

You need to stop watching Fox news and understand the difference between religion and using / hiding behind religion to do terrible things. There was nothing holy about the holy crusades...

Religion does not inspire violence, in fact Islam, just like Judaism and Christianity promote peace. However religion gets used as a tool to drive people into us vs them thinking, just like MAGA and Fox News.

Your a-lalalala is called Ululating. It is a sound made during celebrations or in deep sorrow, sometimes in anger. It's also used in music. It may have had its roots in sending messages across long distances since its undulating sounds appear to carry a good distance. Of course Hollywood movies would turn it into a war cry.

Satellite image of Ivanovo Severny air base obtained by Hurin92 shows one A-50 early warning and control aircraft, possibly damaged/destroyed.

Notably, the highlighted piles of debris or ruble seen in the image had already appeared a week prior to the attack and likely do not indicate new damage.

Nice

Not sure how many we're at now, 13 or 14? Lets just say 10+ to be safe, damaged or destroyed aircraft from this strike, another A-50 out of service would be another blow, they don't have many of these left either.

There was nothing holy about the moor's repeated invasions/conquests of europe, either.  In fact, the moors inhabited spain from 711 AD to 1492, and since you're mentioning the Crusades, this was a big part of the motivation to do those in first place.  But they've won the battle of morality because you never hear about that nowadays.  It's only the crusades that are mentioned in the western history books.  No tears, whatsoever because the islamic people's did a lot more because of the issue of occupation.

President Zelensky: "The Russian delegation, I was told, behaved a bit more calmly. But arrogance — well, it is what it is. We'll see. Maybe a few more measures are needed before they start acting like decent people."

❗️No real progress: talks move slowly with only minor steps forward, says a senior Ukrainian official.

Both sides avoided handshakes and offered no concrete peace proposals. The only agreement reached was on further prisoner exchanges. Umerov confirmed Russia rejected ceasefire and leaders’ meeting.

Medinsky claims Russia got a list of 339 children “in difficult situations” from Ukraine—and insists none were kidnapped, only “rescued” by Russian soldiers.

Rescued from what? Their own created Russkiy Mir nightmare?

Russian delegation leader Medinsky says they’ve agreed on the biggest prisoner exchange yet—over a thousand people, including young soldiers and the seriously wounded. Russia also proposed short 2-3 day ceasefires in certain areas so commanders can recover their fallen troops.

❗️ Zelensky dismissed Russia’s proposal for a 2-3 day ceasefire to recover bodies as “idiotic,” stressing that a ceasefire cannot be a short pause in war. He urges stronger sanctions and pressure on Russia to achieve a real, unconditional ceasefire and progress on prisoner and civilian returns.

🇷🇺 Russian representatives warned that “any future strikes on airfields” could jeopardize negotiations, per a Ukrainian delegate cited by UP.

Ukraine should respond in kind: one more missile strike from Russia — and all remaining aviation will be destroyed.

🇺🇸🇪🇺 The U.S. has begun coordinating a new sanctions package against Russia with the EU. This is a very good sign, President Zelensky said.
