The US feared giving Ukraine enough weapons to win, says ex-CIA chief Ralph Goff in a blunt interview with The Times.

“We gave Ukraine enough weapons to bleed, not to win.”

Goff says Biden & allies delayed critical arms, intimidated by Putin’s nuclear threats.

Trump’s spiritual advisor Mark Burns briefed the U.S. president after visiting Ukraine:

“I spoke of Russian atrocities—against women, children, the elderly. Of 20,000 abducted kids, 700 religious sites targeted. I remain firm: the U.S. must stand with Ukraine.”

🇺🇸🇺🇦 Pastor Mark Burns:

I urge all Americans and people of faith around the world to continue supporting Ukraine and praying for a swift and just resolution.

America will not turn its back on Ukraine. We stand for justice, and we will continue to support Ukraine’s fight for freedom and sovereignty.

The best we can hope for is for America to continue sending aid to Ukraine, which will likely be in the form of paid aid from now on, but Trump shutting the fuck up because almost everything that came out of his mouth was pro-Russian and America's "attempts" to mediate peace between Russia and Ukraine almost entirely favoured Russia, it was going to get to a point where America was looking likely to force Ukraine to surrender in order to achieve their "peace" so America leaving peace negotiations is a good thing, as long as aid continues flowing.

true bro, in fact he only had a surrender plan, not a peace plan

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Ukraine could be on the verge of a tighter relationship with America, because of this deal that just took place.  Once trump has that, he may be willing to help a lot more.  A lot of the commentators and political analysts that i watch online are saying that at least, it isn't so obvious to me yet though because we haven't seen any huge aid packages yet.

As always, we'll have to see

You cannot form a "tighter relationship" when you actively call the leader of Ukraine a "Dictator" and someone who "Wants to start WW3" and actively mock them on television.

It's a relationship on Ukraine's behalf that is out of necessity for survival, no one wants anything to do with Trumps America, Ukraine Included, Trump is a useless narcissistic pig.

good, i'm wanting him to stay out of it and give up, just give aid to ukraine so that the full borders can be won back

Unless Europe decides to start throwing everything at the War, then the USA needs to be involved, otherwise Russia backed by it's allies like North Korea will eventually take over Ukraine. It's a numbers game in the end.

Trump needs to grow a spine.

You are saying two different things here Pemalite.  On the first reply you said that his character and loyalty were an issue.  Then you mention his cowardice.  So which is it?  Is he weak or a snake?  Your unfocused reply is just muddling things up for us all when we want to respond to you.

Look, i'm going to assume that you could care less about trumps character if he doesn't mess things up by not supporting Ukraine. I think that if you saw evidence of that, then you'd overlook these things.

Anyway, realize that the minerals deal was a big turning point in his support for ukraine. It was basically the start of a thaw in relations. Trump gets to look like a great businessman and can brag all he likes about it. Ukraine will get aid now. And from what i understand, the deal isn't bad for ukraine.

Here's some articles on the issue written this week.  If you read a bit, you'll see how Ukraine is thought to be more favored now.

1. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/01/us/politics/trump-ukraine-russia-zelensky.html

2. The Washington Post thinks that Russia is worried about America tilting towards Ukraine
https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2025/05/02/russia-reaction-minerals-deal-ukraine-trump/

3. The U.S. approves a 310 million dollar package for ukraine
https://www.oneindia.com/videos/trump-us-greenlights-310-million-f-16-package-ukraine-011-4241646.html

4.  Ukraine will receive another Patriot system this year, although decomissioned from israel, it was refurbished in the united states.  And trump didn't do squat to stop that now that he has a business interest in ukraine.

The point is that sometimes you have to make a deal to win a friend.

Trump can be all of those things at the same time.

Trump needs to grow a spine.

The problem with Trump isn't that he's spineless, although he is, in fact, spineless.

The problem with Trump is that he's in a bromance with Putin, and he believes that large nations should bend smaller nations to their will, just as Putin does. He wants Putin to win.
