Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick: "Zelensky must not be forced into a deal that doesn’t guarantee Ukraine’s security. Congress will not allow Putin to be rewarded for his crimes. A just peace must hold Russia accountable and prevent future invasions. This is about peace through strength."

Prior, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Sybiha met with Keith Kellogg. They discussed paths to a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace.

Sybiha said that Ukraine remains committed to achieving peace through strength and outlined necessary steps.

There was supposed to be a press conference afterwards, but it was canceled at the request of the American side.

❌ Russian war criminal Yevgeny Bogdanov was eliminated in Berdyansk. On Feb 20, 2025, a gray Renault Duster exploded near building 96—burned to ashes. Inside was Bogdanov, "deputy head" of the occupation administration, responsible for finances & fortifications in occupied Zaporizhzhia.

Ukrainian SOF eliminated 6 Russians and destroyed a bunker. Operators of the 3rd Special Forces Regiment cleared a treeline in Donetsk, cutting off Russian control over access routes to an occupied industrial site. All six Russians were neutralized.

🛑 Hungary won’t back extending EU sanctions on Russian & Belarusian individuals, as time is needed for U.S.-Russia peace talks, said FM Szijjártó. He slammed Brussels for rushing decisions & breaking energy commitments. 🇭🇺 also rejects the €20B Ukraine package, opposing taxpayer money prolonging war.

We should talk about the wasted EU money used on Hungary, how much is it now? And what do they get from it? Because from what I see, Hungary provides nothing to the EU except being a fucking annoyance whilst receiving billions. But EU as per usual is too cowardly to Article 7 Hungary.

The Trump administration has given Ukraine an "improved" draft for a minerals agreement between the countries, after Zelensky infuriated Trump by rejecting his initial offer, a Ukrainian official, a U.S. official and three sources told Axios.

I'll just leave this message from Bernie Sanders here:

Complete waste of time and none of this is convincing me that Europe will step up to the plate, Europe continues to exhibit its biggest problem, that is that Europe is tied up by endless bureaucracy and all talk, no action. Europe is so attached to the status quo of things that they're terrified of change, even if change is needed, they're terrified to do the hard but right thing, so they'll continue to waste months trying to talk America around, whether it's now or later, America under Trump will find a way to backstab Europe and already has.

At this point, I am more convinced that Europe will eventually cave to pressure and back Trump's shitty deal than actually take a stand and recognise the changing global environment, I am still terrified that Western Europe is going to backstab Eastern Europe because they're status quo lovers who have been used to peace for so long, they will accept a fake deal of peace and stick their head in the sand as long as possible.

Poland should be at these negotiations as well. Why is Trump meeting Macon and Starmer separate as well?

Prove me wrong, Europe, but I have low confidence. Meanwhile...

“Trump doubles down on his criticism of Zelensky, calling him a dictator for not holding elections: ‘He dictated without election. Zelensky better move faster or he’s not going to have a country. That war’s going in the wrong direction.’”

Trump also lied about Zelenskyy not meeting with the US Treasury Secretary.

“Scott Bessent actually went there and was treated rather rudely, because essentially, they told him no and Zelenskyy was sleeping and unavailable to meet him. He traveled many hours on the train, which is a dangerous trip, and we’re talking about the secretary of the Treasury. He went there to get a document signed, and when he got there, he came back empty. They wouldn’t sign the document.,” Trump said.

Just another blatant about Zelenskyy from Trump, but sure, go and try to talk Trump around, Macron and Keir.

Finnish EPPGroup MEP, european parliament Foreign Affairs committee member and EPP EUDS coordinator Mika Aaltola:

"The United States has given us three weeks to agree on terms for Ukraine's surrender. If we don't, the United States will withdraw from Europe."

This is an MEP but apparently he isn't a great source so take it with a grain of salt but who knows with the current climate. I could see Europe stupidly caving to pressure to keep American troops in Europe even though they'll just get backstabbed at a later date, I could see them throwing Ukraine to the wolves to save their own skin in a short-sighted move, but I hope I am wrong.

Trump managed to get John Bolton and Bernie Sanders to agree on foreign policy.

Pretty incredible achievement.

Trump’s Zelenskyy Tirade Proves Too Much For European Leaders to Stomach – POLITICO

I don't agree that Ukraine should give up it's mineral wealth to secure it's sovereign right to self governance and determination... Wealth that it could use to rebuild the nation.

...But on the flip side, if it's what triggers the US involvement to stop being a wuss and stand up to Russia, then maybe it's the lesser of two evils? I can't describe how pissed I am at Donald Dump and the position he has taken on this issue.
