If the Switch is on 150-151 right now, it would be selling far more than early 2024 to reach 155 by March, and we already know it's been selling much slower, so I doubt your prediction is currently going to be accurate.

It is difficult for Switch to get 160 million sold without a single nice cut in price in 8 years.
Also, Nintendo did not say anything about what will happen with Switch production after Switch 2 in the market. If Switch 2 gets a massive demand, Nintendo could not make any other machine than Switch 2, even if they pretend to do it.

I don't know how it will be split, but 155(,3) million LTD by march 2027 is the absolute floor. And thats pessimistic.

It'll probably be at 152-153 million by march 2026. In 3 months. That suggests if the Switch can do 8+ million for the year by March 2027, which is doable with Metroid, Pokemon Legends ZA and a few more games coupled with a price drop, it'll achieve that all time number 1 spot then. I suspect the latest later in that year.

Cortected that for you. I think you live one year in the future. And 155 million it will do if Nintendo would cut the Switch in thr next year, wich obviously won't happen. Switch is doing absolutley fine that year. And its close to what i thought it will be. For the end of 2023 i predicted 140 million. It was 139,3. For march 2024 i predicted 143 million, it sold 141,3 million. But my prediction was made in 2019. For this i was quite spot on. For the Switch Up release nobody made a more precise release predicion than me. It is an ice cold FACT it won't release before march (6) 2025. (We can be happy if Nintendo shows the sucessor in january- i know this will set some specific person here on FIRE 😘). I am even ready to put my HEAD in the guilotine on this fact!!

Based on my estimates using VGChartz numbers and Nintendo’s shipped. The Switch as of the end of November has shipped around 148.45M.

By December it should be near 150M shipped.
